Case Study:
Reggie was 100% responsible for his grade so I put him number 1 on the list. Aside from issues prioritizing ad time management, he specifically got an F for plagiarism. Failing the class was a values issue rather than study problems. The University of the People Student Handbook (University Of the People, 2016) states: “Even indirect quotations, paraphrasing, etc., can be considered plagiarism unless sources are properly cited. Plagiarism will not be tolerated at any time; students are required to learn and be personally responsible for educating themselves about plagiarism” (emphasis mine)
If he was attending UoPeople, that statement sums up that Reggie was fully responsible for his actions. I believe the same would be true at most other

It seems like she gave a vague warning and dropped the issue. If she suspected a breach of academic integrity, she really should have told Arnie to scrap the paper or she would have to tell the professor that she suspected plagiarism.
Finally, Prof. Lovelit would be fourth on the list. The Professor has no responsibility for enforcing a zero tolerance rule by failing Arnie.
My thoughts on Plagiarism and strategies to avoid.
I think our Academic Integrity policy and Code of Integrity are clear and simple. Do not use other people’s work or use their ideas without due credit. And hold yourself and others to that standard.
To avoid breaching the code of conduct even if the thought is my own but closely influenced by someone else, when in doubt, I cite. I also review before submittal for any citations I intended to put in but may have missed. As an adult learner I’ve read/watched/heard things along the way and it’s possible I could be pulling something from memory and think its original. Tools like paperrate.com could offer a lot of peace of mind. For me my policy is, when in doubt, check it
It's 2005 and USC Trojans running back Reggie Bush has just won the most prestigious award in college football, The Heisman Trophy, just a year after winning the BCS National Championship game. Reggie Bush was on of the most dynamic and electrifying running backs to ever play college football, and his accolades showed it. He was at an all-time high coming out of college. Then in 2006, just a year later, Reggie and his family became under investigation for receiving gifts from sports agent Lloyd Lake.
Taking someone’s words and using them without a proper citation is a problem. Without being taught the correct way, this problem is not going to correct itself and will continue to become a bigger problem. There are major consequences for plagiarising, but these can be avoided with a simple citation. Tying together the definition of plagiarism, reasons for using documentation, and an explanation of MLA 8 and APA citations will all be brought together. Learning what kind of citation, and what needs a citation is a very important concept in becoming a successful writer. Citing a source correctly will save you time and problems.
Frederick, as long as he is not doing it out of malice, should speak out about what has happened to him. Instead of using the “take-no-prisoners” attorney, Frederick should seek out a Christian attorney who shares the same views as him. The attorney could further advise him on the situation. I feel Frederick should sue his professors for his innovation so that justice will
Academic integrity is the code of academic conduct that is set forth by educational institutions. It is the catalyst for the mission of most institutions. The expectation is that students will be honest and responsible as it pertains to academia. It defines the academic rigor in research and academic publishing and gives value to the institution (Spain & Robes, 2011). Academic integrity also applies to the way that an individual behaves both personally and professionally, and is a true measure to the worth of the degree that is earned. This standard of behavior applies to both students and faculty. In short this is just thief of
In 2005 the world had been introduced to one of the best collegiate running backs to ever go through the University of Southern California. His name is Reggie Bush and he achieved one of the best personal awards any collegiate football player could want and that would be the Heisman award. Reggie bush played running back for USC in 2005, he was 6 foot tall and weighed 200 pounds, and he played tailback as a sophomore in college and played in 13 games. He was named “Pigskin club of Washington D.C offensive player of the year.” He was also named the2004 PAC-10 offensive player of the year, “Then He was named the 2005 Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive year (just the fifth

Another reason why Reggie himself is at mot fault for his failing grade is his lack of communication. In the story, he did not communicate with his coach or his teacher about his current
3. How could Principal O’Rourke have better handled the reference calls he received regarding Randolph Agam?
Although there was no institutional action given, this paragraph is to follow up with the conversation I had among Dr. Emil Chuck and Mr. Steven Scherger about the first academic violation I had at Case Western Reserve University.
He didn’t have the excuse of being a student-athlete with a larger workload. Not only that, at least Reggie made an attempt to make the paper his own. Arnie simply added and introduction and conclusion to the paper and thought that would be enough to get him a decent grade. This is an even more blatant form of plagiarism than the
Being a college student is hard. College requires plenty of work. Some students have other things to do besides going to school; some of them need to work in order to pay for their tuition. When school isn’t the only thing students have to worry about, they might get behind in their classes, but they can’t fail them so they have to find out a way to stay on both their job and school. A large amount of students are pushed into cheating; they do it so often that suddenly it becomes a habit. Nowadays, plagiarism is extremely popular. Students don’t like using their brain anymore; they just copy and paste. To avoid plagiarism, students should do their own work; learn how to cite in a proper form, and understand that plagiarism can result in
Cheating was not acceptable in his classroom and it may be a cause of a failing grade. He explained the consequences of cheating. He said: “Cheating, it’s not good” Don’t cheat.
I do think Lucy Donavan violated the UHD Honesty Policy because she obtained and used unauthorized material to prepare for her Intro to Politics midterm exam and was not honest in her glimpse of seeing the major essay topic.
Academic integrity holds a great deal of weight. This includes honesty in the work produced, as well as being able to accomplish the work. Responsibility in addition plays important factor into integrity. I see
Students now have the ability to cut and paste sections of an article, or they can purchase a term paper on-line. He also believes that they plagiarize because they “are faced with too many choices, so they put off low priorities.”[4] If a student has a lot of things to do, they will not spend much time on the things that have a low priority or things that are considered boring. He also points out that a big reason for plagiarism is that “many students have poor time management and planning skills.”[5] If the student waits until the last minute to write a paper, they may not have enough time to completely research topic. Other students plagiarize because they “fear that their writing ability is inadequate.”[6] If the student does not believe that they have the ability to do good work, they may think that the only chance to get a good grade is to cheat.
