Research also shows that the Haitian population has not done much in terms of contributing to the Bahamas but the little they do is appreciated, such as doing small jobs keeping yards and doing handy work around houses.

4. What does the Bahamian law say about citizens’ right? (K-U 5)
The Bahamian law says that every person who is born in the Bahamas after the 9th of July 1973 will become a citizen of the Bahamas at the date of his birth if at that date either of their parents is a citizen of the Bahamas. The constitution also states that no person should be subjected to torture of to inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. All Bahamians have a right to education, young or old. All citizens under the age of 18 have to attend a school of some sort by law. All citizens have a right to freedom of speech. Bahamians are entailed to the fundamentals rights and freedom of the individual. I feel as though the Bahamian laws that are placed are very respectable and fair to the citizens I feel as though these laws should be respected at all times and they should be obeyed. Once the citizens ensure that they carry these laws out the right way, the Bahamian society will be better off and more stable and functional.

5. What should be Christian’s response to the immigrants? (JPR-10)
The Christian’s response to immigrants will depend on whether they come legally or illegally. Those who come legally should be welcomed and aided in any way we
Having the privilege to serve in the military has allowed this writer the opportunity to be exposed to the pluralistic society in a way which has exposed him to the beauty of the diversity enjoyed in American culture. One aspect of said diversity is the interaction which has taken place amongst the Christian and various world religions who also wear the same uniform in defense of America. It was the pleasure of the writer to attend a local synagogue in which his Jewish brothers and sisters welcomed him with open arms. The local congregation of Jewish believers went out of their way in order to ensure their newest visitor understood the flow of service and the significance of the ritual which took place on the first Shabbat or Sabbath of the month. The following essay will serve to detail the worship experience as well as how it and other beliefs of Judaism compare/contrast with the Christian faith.
More than three quarters of the world are following a religion, we as human beings use religions as a way of answering the unexplainable questions in life like what happens after we die. What’s similar between these religions even though they’re so spread out? Some believe in gods, some believe in giving up your worldly desires, and some provide a social hierarchy to live your life on.
The religious movement, a break of religion all over the where the main control of the catholic church broke. The ides of marriage were altered , “by which all that is the husband's is also the wife's” to show separation from the main part of religion (Luther document 4). Where people would not just give in to the christian way , “cannot submit [their] faith either to the Pope or to the Councils... frequently erred and contradicted eachother” because of these contradictions happening between the church's ranks (Luther document 8). The monks became vile , “breaking the vows of the church by having concubines and illegitimate children” their celibacy was now non existent (Bosch document 7). Also The added religions that formed at this time , “[They] ought not, by way of custom, to speak of predestination...they become negligent in the works” which all have changed their ways of how things happen which anger other. While people break the main religion religions produce like wildfire, however the were other thing affected at this period which made life in Europe drastically different, the social and political changes. The social and
The debate of who should be allowed to enter the United States has been an issue for many years, with the large number of people entering and living here illegally this has become a significant talking point amongst the candidates in this presidential election. But are their views something that should be shared and supported by Christians today? There are definitely two opposing views from Christians on this topic. I will present both views regarding illegal immigrants in the United States and then I will present my own opinion on this topic.
Immigrants have always been a part of the United States and played a major role in building the foundation for the life in America, therefore, legal immigrants, should always be welcome granted that they come with good intentions. "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" is a saying that has been associated with the country of The United States of America since its founding. That saying has infused immigrants with the idea that upon reaching this holy land, their lives will drastically change for the better. With that dream in mind, hundreds of thousands of immigrants, flock to this country to become part of its evolving culture.
strongly presents the case that although there are no direct teachings on immigration in the New Testament, Christians can learn how to treat immigrants. Jesus’s attitudes and actions help to show Christians how to treat outsiders, like immigrants. Just as Jesus transcended cultural differences and accepted Samaritans, Christians should accept immigrants. Today it is clear that Christians should embrace the ideals of the New Testament, rather than Romans 13, because it allows them to follow biblical teachings. Therefore, I believe it is important for Christians to help immigrants by embracing the New Testament ideals seen through Jesus’s own actions and
Biblical guidelines. All persons are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven. Immigration reform and control is found throughout the scriptures. 1 Samuel 17:25, Saul decreed that “whoever slew the Philistine May receive fame, wealth, naturalization, and his daughter’s hand in marriage.” David eventually took the challenge, slew the giant and went to the King to gains his fame, wealth, and naturalization. 1 Samuel 18:1, says, “after David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself.” King Saul introduces David to his Son, and immediately Jonathon protected David. In similarity, “God is the source of all truth, power, and authority” (Fisher, 2013, p.1). Government must evaluate public policy on existing government programs to ensure that inalienable rights are not violated (Kraft & Furlong, 2015).
The immigration is an important phenomenon that exists throughout human history and the United States of America is not an exception of this “rule”. People leave their motherland to travel to different continent, country, island or state for many different reasons. Among these reasons (business, education, asylum and so on) it is very important to highlight one of the most sensitive: the economic reason or the desire to find a better job/life in order to help their families. The USA is usually considered a country the tradition of immigrants. Due to the fact that The United States of America rank the top five most rich and developed countries in the world, the flow of immigrants has been growing considerably. However, beside the millions of legal immigrants there are millions of illegal immigrants target as a struggle of the economy and a ruin of the middle class.
The practises, beliefs and values of Christianity and Islam have an impact on Australia society; however, the media exploits the perceived tension between the two groups which has led to discrimination and violence. Over many years the way of which an individual lives their life has been shown to be affected by the religion of which they follow. This affects the way of life throughout the community surrounding these people, as well as having an impact on the social issues throughout this particular community. Christianity has a huge impact throughout Australia, this includes through schools, dress codes, the way of which people live in their day to day lives. Christianity has always been a highly popular religion throughout Australia as
Faith calls us to accept immigrants that come for a better life. Also to accept them to our church and treat them as equals. Immigrants have faced many dangerous challenges and problems. So we should welcome them and let them follow their faith and let them live the life God gave
Why should America punish immigrants when they are helping the economy? William J Clinton once said, “we must say no to illegal immigration so we can continue to say yes to legal immigration.”(Johnson 1). The American dream should stop being just a dream. It shouldn’t be limited to only a few people. Immigrants shouldn’t have a rougher time coming to America, but handed opportunities that everyone else is offered.
On September 23 of 2013, half a million of Haitians living in the Dominican Republic woke up to the unfortunate ruling made by the country’s Central Electoral Board. The ruling TC-168-13 called for the denationalization of Dominican born civilians if at least one of their parents are not a citizen of the nation. Because the highest population of immigrants living in the Dominican Republic are Haitians, this decision is hurting them the most. Now, these people are not able to attain governmental or legal papers, making daily transactions difficult to fulfill, receive medical attention,
Daniel Rodriguez a professor of religion and Hispanic studies expressed his thoughts from a Christian perspective about Immigration and Undocumented Immigrants living in the United States of America. I found it very important to attend this summit session because I’m an exchange student from Trinidad and Tobago and always heard so much negative stories about how Americans see people from other countries.
Religious traditions share a set of characteristics that enable them to be dynamic, living religious systems. Each of the characteristics (beliefs, sacred texts, ethics, rituals and ceremonies) interact and provide adherents with a multifaceted way of engaging and relating to the tradition.
The Bahamas is a Caribbean island that its populations is 396,980 people the capital of this country is Nassau. The Bahamas principle language is English. Their criminal justice system has been based on English common law since 1964. They are also based on executive, legislative, and judicial branch (over view of the Bahamas). Their constitution gives more rights to the men than they do to women. The women get less rights for example, in a will the men will get the right to have everything over a women (comparative criminology).
