Meaning of Life: Religion
Throughout human history, religion is now and always has been the main topic of discussion. In my paper, I will discuss reasons why it is important to study religion and how it was constituted. Religion is what makes us who we are today. Therefore, there are many reasons to study religion. Religion has shown itself as being able to unite people and to divide them since everyone has his or her own beliefs. The study of religion is not only for religious people. It’s for everyone! It is important to learn about different religion systems of beliefs, culture, and worldwide views. There are millions of religions in the world today. Religion is a universal institution in human society. It is found in all societies, past and present. Nevertheless, my paper will critically point out the importance to distinguish the different views of religion from the main broad meaning of that word the elaborate on the term such as “faith” and “spirituality” connected to religion. What does it mean to be religious? According to John Bowker (2006), it can mean so many things to different people (p.6). Therefore, John Bowker argues that being religious does not have a perfect explanation and it does not mean one simple thing. I totally agree with John.
