I will be discussing three SMART Goals in this journal. They will be about getting a 3.5 GPA before this semester is over, how I should study, and getting better focused in this semester. I want to have a 3.5 GPA before this semester is over. In order to accomplish this goal, I would have to study at least 2 hours a day, I would go to a tutor when I need help. I would write my notes that are well organized and have very legible handwriting. I would create a calendar of all the due dates of assignments. The nest SMART Goal is how I should study. In this goal, I would get my tutors and my friends to study the material. I want to accomplish this goal because I want to become more proficient in my studying habits. I would study in my dorm room and also in the library.
Setting educational goals for my academic success is a very important part of education because you have more motivation. I chose to do my behavior change project on improving my diet. I put my own little twist on it with the way I measured my success and I had to supplement it to reach my goals, but I feel that it was done really well. My goal was at the end of the four weeks to be able to run 3.1 miles in 18:45. I have run times close to this before, but that was a couple of years ago. At the beginning of this project my time for 3.1 miles was 20:36. I knew that if I was committed and worked really hard that I would be able to do it though. I chose to measure my behavior change this way due to the fact that I have a very busy life and I am on the high school cross country team. I figured I would already be running each week and I have a race every week that I can measure my time against my goal. So I was just trying to save some time in my schedule by partially combining two activities.
Setting goals are the most important thing you can do in your life. Without goals you are going to have no direction, no ambition to be successful, no drive to stay in school, and you would have trouble finding a career that will provide for you. When planning for success you must make good choices on the path you are going to choose. The wrong path will put you somewhere that is going to take you off track of your goals. Since I would not accomplish my assignments, I knew this would affect my grade. Now I found ways to stay more organized in my assignments. For example, I now have the habit to write down all my assignments in a planner. Having a planner is very helpful, because now I am able to keep track of each assignment.
I have made a lot of progress towards my last goal. I always had my homework done ahead of time and now it has become a habit. I planned in my planner one week ahead so I could easily see all the stuff I needed to do.

My smart goal My goal is to shave off twenty seconds off my mile run. My current time for my mile is nine minutes and 40 second. Goal time is nine and twenty second. My goal will be accomplished by increasing cardiovascular strength. I will measure my progress by doing a test run on Saturday see how mile had change. This goal was relevant to me because it helps improve my overall efficacy in sports and daily life. It will increase my strength and endurance make my progression in sports healthier and safer.
With the SMART goal setting I have set my goal which I feel think the time of my lesson two hours I will be able to finish my lesson on Healthy Digestive System and Eating Habits with all the mini activities that I have plan. I knew that in order to accomplish my goal, I would have to change my fixed mindset into a growth one. It was challenging at first when trying to understand what happening in class and how to do my assigned homeworks. After getting use to finishing my homework without having to copy someone paper, it started to go through my head. I was pretty happy with some quiz that had above 80% because I knew I was improving. This new habit I had of complete things on time helps me reach farther in my goal.
The strategy I use for setting and achieving goals is simple. First, I identify the goal that I want to achieve.
