Renewing the Mind Paper The Apostle Paul wrote many letters to different churches all over the world to teach, encourage, and challenge spiritual growth. These letters are valuable and used daily by many followers of Jesus Christ in this pursuit of spiritual growth that ultimately develops into obedience to God. The letters are kept in God’s Word to share the truth with Christians. Christians read God’s Word to become biblically grounded in beliefs about reality, truth, knowledge, and value that come from the teachings of God’s Word. Paul implores Christians to “not be conformed to this world” (Romans 12:2a). A Christians worldview is Christian Theism, they develop their worldview by reading God’s Word. God reveals everything they need to do by hearing and applying the Truth’s that are in the Scriptures. Some of these Truths are a contradiction with the world and other worldviews. Let’s go over both verses so you can see the premises and the promise and the contradictions between the world and Christian theists. Contradictions of this world verse Christians/biblical thinking I have looked at several versions of the Bible, however, the English Standard Version of Romans 12:1-2 speaks to me today. Paul is begging Christians to listen to him and obey God on how to live. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
