Report: Employment and Internship

I will achieve this goal by studying more, writing more notes, and paying attention more to the teacher

I am writing in response to the 2016 summer internship opportunity posted by ChemTreat, Inc. on the American Chemical Society website. Currently, I am a junior at Belhaven University, pursuing a degree in Chemistry with a concentration on Physical Chemistry. My cumulative GPA is 3.985/4.0.

Universal College is where I’d like to attend school because I really like what the college has to offer for their students; I hope to complete all classes that allow me to pursue my career as a Dental Hygienist, I will further my academic experience by doing an internship through my dentist office, I will contribute by joining many different kinds of clubs to make it a welcoming environment for each student. I will contribute a welcoming, safe, and tolerant environment for each student. In high school I was an active student in Spirit Club and I was on the SHS Drill Team. It was my job to make sure everyone participated and felt important to the team; This experience is only one of many that proves why I am choosing to attend Universal College.

I though your elevator speech was very detailed and well written. Talking about your internship experience and how it helped you gain knowledge in your Field is a great way to start an elevator speech. Since the purpose is to gain the attention of a potential recruiter. Overall I thought you did a great job.

My pathway for this project is the internship pathway and I plan to become a in the Southern Education Leadership Initiative (SELI). A project that works with various organizations in the American south to bring education equality. This project should help me grow in gaining experience in working in environments that I am not necessarily used to. In order to do this though I need to apply for the fellowship and if I am accepted I need to find a place to live when I am assigned a location.

I was a little intimidated when presenting my CP because it was relatively early in the semester and was done before my original due date because Stephanie was ill. However, there really was no need to be nervous because I got so much great, positive feedback. My CP pertained to a gentleman who had been using drugs for 45 years and was getting ready to go back out into the world after a 28- day rehabilitation treatment program. One thing that I learned is that there were a couple of fellow students who had overcome addiction and trauma and they were very open and willing to share what they had gone through. In the near future, I hope to have a strong impact on the repair of our environment. I strive to challenge myself with an education in environmental engineering to solve the detrimental problems. Recently, I got accepted into the Missouri University of Science and Technology, a top-of-the-line engineering school to prepare readiness in solving specific scientific issues. Throughout my path towards my tertiary education, I have gained skills of problem-solving and temperance to cope with economic and educational obstacles.
