Introduction
Immobility is one of the most common complications in stroke patients (Doshi, Say, Young, Doraisamy,2003).It is important for stroke patients who suffer from immobility problems to be taken care of appropriately. This is because immobility due to stroke may predispose a patient to deep vein thrombosis among other risks (Dennis et al,2011).In this paper we assess a situation involving an elderly patient suffering from immobility due to Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA). The paper explores the necessary care that is necessary to help the patient cope with the situation while preserving his dignity.

What is Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA)?
Cerebrovascular accident (CVA) or stroke is the sudden loss of brain function as a consequence of a disturbance in the brain's blood supply. This can be as a result of a hemorrhage or ischemia caused by a general blockage of blood vessels (arterial embolism,thrombosis) (Sims, Muyderman,2009).As a consequence, the affected area of an individual's brain can never function thereby resulting in the ability of the affected person to move one or even more limbs one side of their body, the inability to comprehend or even formulate sentences as well as the inability…
