It was mostly with the electrical maintenance team. It was by doing preventive maintenance, Energizing and De-energizing of electrical systems. Sometimes there was no work due to the heat stress which was preventing of work outside in the plant. If there is a breakdown MCC we work on them also, but during my training there was no breakdown maintenance on MCC’s. 1.2 Basic MCC is Motor Control Centre which are designed to provide the most efficient means of Controlling and protecting a wide range of applications. They may be configured for motor starting, transformer feeders, capacitor feeders, or future spaces. The units also provide a wide range of motor starting applications. 1.3 Types of MCC’s Basically it is divided into two types: Indoor Type: Intended for indoor use only, enclosures are designed primarily to Provide protection against contact with energized equipment inside. They are to be used in Locations where normal indoor service conditions exist. Outdoor Type: Outdoor use to provide a degree of protection to personnel against incidental contact with the enclosed equipment; to provide a degree of protection against falling dirt, rain, sleet, and snow; and that will be undamaged by the external formation of ice on the
