Development of the company’s performance management needs clarity in the areas of monitoring work progress, including the allocation of funds- both monetary rewards and funding for gaming development, and eliminating social hierarchy’s. Strategic planning and growth are areas of the company that need to be addressed to insure that the direction of the business is clear for both employees as well as consumers. Issues arisen from within the company are lack in training of new employees, constant updated training workshops for established employees and to better the training received into hiring new employees. 2. DISCUSSION 2.1 Organisational Structure Organisational structure is a developing concept within the constantly changing business environment with new technology shaping how tasks can be done more effectively and efficiently. A technologically advanced company such as Valve embraces the changing environment and has adapted the no manager’s concept within the creative industry. Zarzaru (2013) states, within an organisation, the dimension which concerns the choice of how work is organized and who is allocated the work is formed by sharing knowledge, referred to as the human dimension, with elements of the organisational structure fully reliant on knowledge management projects and the physical human thought process, this concept is not fully reached within Valve, but is easily achievable.
