The authors are Jennifer Duncan, Isis Montalvo, and Nancy Dunton. Describe (in your own words) the research database or collection of research including the purpose and the subject matter it covers: NDNQI is actually the only database available where participating facilities or hospitals receive reports that contain data that is collected and submitted at all nursing unit levels where nursing occurs. It is a proprietary database of ANA. They collect and analyze specific data from different nursing units from hopsitals in the US for quality improvement purposes and to identify how nursing staffing affects patient outcomes.. NDNQI is for members only but the artciles are available to the public at no cost.
