Research method
To gain my secondary information I used such sources as the Internet, books and midwifery journals. My secondary information will consist of the benefits of breast-feeding for the mother and baby, the benefits of bottle-feeding for the mother and baby as well as statistics on breast-feeding. All information that I have gained for my secondary data is all reliable, because it has come from recommended sites, books and journals that have been approved from the Government or from hospitals and doctors themselves. There are many research methods used to gain information, but it is important to use the right one to ensure that you get the best results possible. One method that is used is experiment; this is where you

This would leave my results as unreliable because I personal effected them. Another method of researching is an unstructured interview, which is where an interview is conducted on the topic area and it has no set questions. The advantages are the topic is explored in depth, you are able to explore people opinions and it is good for handling sensitive topics. The disadvantages are it can be difficult to compare answers, it is easy to get off the subject area and that the interviewee may lie. I did not choose to do this method because it is very difficult to analyse answers, it can be very time consuming and it is difficult to record the answers.
My chosen method of research is a questionnaire, to test my hypothesis. I chose a questionnaire because it can reach a large amount of people and it is reliable and easy to replicate. Another reason is it can be easily changed into statistical data by using graphs and tables. An advantage is that the questionnaire can be anonymous, which is good, because my topic can be a sensitive topic for some people. Being able to stay anonymous may encourage more people to participate, because it means that their views and opinions can not be referenced back to them and they may feel more inclined to answer truthfully. Another benefit is that my questionnaire can be taken away to do in the participants own leisure time. This is a benefit because my targeted groups, mothers, are very busy people and being able to take the
Another practical factor that affects choice of method is the social characteristics of the researcher. For example a 30 year old man from the upper middle class would find it impossible to pass off as a 17 year old female sixth form student from a working class area. This would mean that they wouldn't be able to use covert participant observation as a research method. Instead, they should use questionnaires for information if they need quantitative data (e.g. roughly how many hours they do homework for) or semi-structured interviews if they wanted qualitative data (e.g. to talk
Research methods are “the various specific tools or ways data can be collected and analysed, e.g. a questionnaire, interview, etc.” (Neville, C, 2007).
Breast-feeding vs. bottle feeding is a very important decision for new parents as well as a very hot topic of debate for most heath oriented communities. Most health, family and infant related communities and services such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, the World Health Organization, etc. support and promote breast-feeding infants. Their suggestion urges mothers to at least breastfeed for the first few days after giving birth even if they decide to bottle feed their infant(s), so that the infant(s) can get the health benefits from the mother 's milk and also so that the mother can alleviate some of the pressure in her breasts from the milk production. Cost wise breast-feeding is more cost efficient
Nutrition and breastfeeding are subjects that can relate greatly to each other. New mothers are in a need of information regarding breastfeeding. Mothers receive the information and instructions on how to breastfeed at the hospital where they bear their children. That information is essential in the decision making process of whether to breastfeed or not. Still the clear choice for mothers everywhere is breastfeeding for several important life affecting reasons. Breast milk is highly nutritional, protects from various diseases, ideal in growth, promotes bonding, and is beneficial for the mother in a recovery process after labor.
In the past, many studies viewed the issue of police deviance as the notion of bad apples on the force. Management and culture of a police department are the most crucial factors that influence police behaviors. And the manner of which officers behave toward citizens will affect whether citizens view law enforcement as an institution with integrity.
There are several methods of performing the research. Either way it takes a lot of effort and involves putting together pieces of information from many different sources. Here are a few steps to get started:
Formal Research and informal research- Conducting a survey able to cover a broad range of topics and able to gather as much information as the research need to, Informal research such as asking opinions from staff about the company and customers feedback and analysing the company sales statistics from internal records are the easiest way to gather in the shortest among of time, however, be careful with the data as it might be data that are not as subjective as primary and secondary data.
However, this method also has some drawbacks. First of all, it requires the interviewer has enough interviewing techniques. Interviewer can drive the sentiment of interviewee, and maintain a neutral stance. Secondly, this interview has most questions are prepared and not change, so it lacks flexibility. And it is difficult to discuss the issues in depth. Interviewer cannot understand the thoughts of the respondents in detail. Finally, the results of research are easily affected by the personal factors of respondents. In other words, the result will be one-sided, and it cannot reflect most people's views.
Quantitative and Qualitative are said to be systematic in different design. Both design have to follow a process system that involved defining a principle of research.
The topic that I have chosen to look at is obesity. The aim of this topic is to find out whether “the ignorance of genetics as a contra factor of obesity”. I have chosen to look at this topic because obesity is concerns me. Obesity has always been a bid debate for a long time now and I was intrigued to find out more about the topic and the cause of obesity. The fact that obesity has made deadlines news in recent years. There are a lot of misconceptions about obesity such as overweight is caused by a sow metabolism. There have been a lot of beliefs and myths about obesity in society today and he above myths is on of them. According to Donnellan (1998) ‘ ‘people who are overweight have told their doctors that they eat no more and
I am going to begin my research by firstly creating focus questions and research them and analyse them to guide
Methodology which I use of Internet based research. This would mean receiving an e-mail on which you would click on an address that would take you to a secure web-site to fill in a questionnaire. This type of research is often quicker and less detailed. Some disadvantages of this method include the exclusion of people who do not have a computer or are unable to access a computer. Also the validity of such surveys are in question as people might be in a hurry to complete it and so might not give accurate responses.
Another method used is descriptive designs, which is survey. Some of the information was surveyed from person to get correct information regarding family descendants because they know the facts about family. Other than that, is reviewing other research for the facts for literature review in which definition and opinion of researchers was needed.
Research methodology is a way how the research is conducted step by step and in order. There are two methods used for data collection which is the primary data and secondary data. These data can be obtained and used many ways. The data is taken and analyzed in advance to produce a result that we can use for research and future reference. This study will relate to the objective we want to achieve and finding the answer to every objective we seek. In order to successfully achieve the objectives we seek, we must know
These principles will advise me about which methods to choose and how to investigate the things to ensure that Research work will become effective and
