In order to stop animal cruelty and the problems associated with it, we as a society need stronger animal rights laws.

The conditions for animals in modern slaughterhouses are unsanitary and violent. The lack of rules and regulations cause animals to be treated poorly because this industry is focused on mass production and profit rather than finding a more humane alternative to run the meat packing business. The most effective method to stop this cruelty is to learn about where meat comes from, start supporting the organic and family farms which will ultimately lead to the reducing the amount of animals that have to suffer.

Animal Cruelty is a problem that many ignore. People are oblivious to these animals and the negligence their owners show. Animal cruelty is an underlying problem in today’s society, and the only way to counteract these problems, is for this generation to do something about it.

Thesis Statement: Imagine a dog running to fetch a toy, A horse galloping on a trail, or even a heard of cows grazing upon a grassy pasture. These same beloved animals could be suffering an unimaginable fate in some of the world concentration camps that are still standing. In October of 2012, a Jack Russell Terrier puppy named Phoenix was set on fire in Buffalo N.Y. The woman who discovered him was attracted by black smoke. She managed to put out the the flames with her sweater and proceeded to rush him to a small animal hospital with severe burns over his whole body and a serious ankle infection. Although he lost 60% off of both of his ears he maintained almost complete mobility of his leg. He still has a slight limp. Animal cruelty can be either deliberate abuse or simply the failure to take care of an animal. Either way, or whether the animal is a pet, a farm animal or wildlife, the victim can suffer terribly. Animal cruelty is an ethical and moral dilemma as there is no clear right or wrong answers that can solve all of the issues. There are numerous opinions on how this issue can be solved, these include;

There are many animals who deal with abuse everyday, and that is not okay. If an animal is neglected or abused the pet will be taken away and the caretaker will be charged $1,500. I believe that animals are different than human beings. Animals should not be treated the same but I think it’s important to treat animals well and give them the same respect we demand for ourselves. Animals can feel pain and it isn't right to cause pain on them by being cruel. There are some things that you might do to an animal that you wouldn't do to a human. For example, you may put an animal to sleep to put it out of its misery if it has cancer and is going to die but you wouldn't put your grandmother to sleep in the same conditions. Animal cruelty is an ongoing issue in today’s society. When we listen to the news and hear about these animals being starved, beaten, and treated poorly our hearts drop and we get a lump in our throat holding back the tears. We see these animals suffer, we see the pain in their eyes begging for our help, we want to put an end to this but we fail to see the bigger picture. Animal cruelty is a more severe and extreme than we think it is. Animal cruelty just is not owners beating their pets. Animal cruelty is animal testing. Scientist performs experiments on these animals that have no voice, no control, no way to stop what is happening to them. These animals are helpless, innocent creatures that have no idea why this is happening to them. These animals are enduring pain they are being deformed, having body parts mutilated, and many are killed. There are many organizations today such as PETA fighting to improve animal welfare but cruelty still continues. Animal testing needs to be completely banned or modified so the animals do not suffer. Scientific experiments on animals are cruel and unethical. These tests done on animals do not yield positive results that are beneficial to humans.

How would you like it if you were used in an experiment to see if the mascara your girlfreind used was safe? And then when they were done with you, they disposed of you and killed you off as if you didn’t matter. Well that’s what is being done to animals. They are being tested on. Sometimes scientist give animals radioactive material to eat to see how fast they die. If you know that the animal is going to die, why would you do something so inhumane for no apperant reason?

People always say that animals are our friends. They can help us and in most of the time, they are part of our family. Whatever what happen, we should be kind and treat them in good way. However, according to my experience, when I walked on the streets, I could see many dirty dogs and cats, while they were rummaging in bins for food. Although they are wretched and innocent，there are still many people hurt them probably just because they are stray animals. It’s cruel for me to face those case happen. But when the dirty stray animals walked to me, I avoid them too. I don’t want to get hurt by them. Probably in my subconscious, they are stray animals but not the pet. I should stay away with them. However, when I experienced many cruel things happen. I changed my opinion. I think it is not fair for them, they should be fair treatment as the normal pets. We should protect them not hurt them again and again. And now I am trying to help them during my free time to prove my belief.

Some animals have never even felt grass before. I found all of my information on this website, "Cruelty to animals." Most of the animals that are abused, do nothing wrong and it is just the owner of the animal. Also like I said before the dogs that are used for dog fighting are drugged so they can be more aggressive and will fight the other dogs, and these are just two reasons why you should stop animals abuse. Another reason is that the animals that are beaten never get treated for their cuts are broken bones, the animals either live with their injury the rest of their life or they die. Just think about a cute little dog or cat. Would you want that animal to get hurt. If you're a parent do you want your kids to get hurt? Do you just want to beat your kid till death? I found all of this ot by reading an article called "Suffer the Animals." We can stop animal abuse by joining together and donating money to an organization or joining a group and protest. That is why you need to help animals. They are beaten and torn down and soon might become extinct. But unlike the dinosaurs you can make a difference in how other people treat animals.
