On October 12, 1963 one of the greatest bull riders was born. Lane Frost was on of the highest ranked bull riders’ in the world. Lane died in Cheyenne, Wyoming on July 30th, 1989. Lane died when he was at a rodeo in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Lane was riding a bull named Takin’ Care of Business, Lane dismounted and landed in the dirt. The bull turned and hit Lane in the side with his horn, breaking several of his ribs. Lane initially rose to his feet, waving at somebody for help. Bull riding was basically in Lanes blood, his dad was a bull rider and was out on the rodeo circuit when he was born. Elsie said that even as a baby Lane was fascinated by bull riding. Lane started his bull riding career at just the age of 15 years old. One of his family friends Freckles Brown tough him how to ride bulls and encouraged him all the way.

Each event is under attack by organizations such as SHARK, but several of their allegations are not exactly true, especially for rodeos within the United States. The examples these organizations use as animal abuse do happen but not to the level they would lead you to believe.
