If I were to stand in front of the mirror of Erised, I would hope to see myself “The brightest witch of her age.” Being a muggle, this is impossible. I would love to collect asphadd, write a ten page essay about the medieval assembly of European wizards –though I hate history-or summarize the Boggart chapter as homework. I would study Potions which is the same as muggle Chemistry, Divination or Mathematics; Transfiguration which is a combination of both Physics and Biology, and Muggle studies also known as Sociology. Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, located in a valley, is a large story building. The school, built in the late early middle ages, is surrounded by mountains and the Great Lake is to its South. To the castle’s west, is the deep Forbidden Forest. The castle is supported by magic, a good illustration is the moving staircase made by Ravera Ravenclaw. Its towers and dungeons are breathtaking. The magnificent Great Hall, where the meals are served, is located in the ground floor off the entrance. A school that appreciates its students, fulfils their knowledge, and has magic build into it (not necessary the type of magic that would move objects, but the magic that will make the student love every inch of the school). After months of researches, Stanford was found to be the closest to Hogwarts. I found them to be very similar in their ambience. A Gryffindor student would find Stanford the perfect place for courage and bravery. The school emphasizes risk taking. Stanford, too, lies in a valley with cardinal-Close to Hogwarts scarlet-as its color. While all Hogwarts students live on campus, about 98% of Stanford’s students do.
