McTeague Essay Benjamin Franklin Norris, or as he is better know, Frank Norris, was born on March 5th, 1870 (“Frank...Author”). Though the now famous author of the naturalist novel, McTeague, originally born in Chicago, his family moved to San Francisco when he was a boy (“Introduction”). After studying abroad in Paris for one year in 1887, Norris attended the University of California from 1890 to 1894. He also spent another year at Harvard University. After his extensive education, Norris had many different jobs. In 1895, Norris was a news correspondent in South Africa. From 1896 to 1897, he was the editorial assistant for the San Francisco Wave. Frank Norris was also a Cuban War correspondent in 1898 for McClure’s Magazine. He joined

Michael Malique McManus was born on February 13, 1996 in Cheraw, South Carolina. Malique is the youngest child of Antionette Bostic and Michael McManus (deceased). Growing up he was raised by his mother and step father, Darren Bostic. Living in rural Bennettsville, South Carolina, at a very young age Malique displayed a love for God, Family, Education, and Dance. He graduated from Marlboro County High School ranked fourth in his class while also being named Senior Class President and captain of the Goldrush Dance Team. Georta Mack, 14, is a teenager who was shot and killed by his father in Ohio on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. The father said that Georta had left for school that morning and came back in through the basement. He exclaimed that he heard noises and the son had jumped out at him and scared him, it was then that he shot him. Georta later died at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. The father’s name has not been released at this time and the shooting is now under farther investigation.

Witness say that the shooter said “I told you not to f*** with me.” This was shooting that made people very unhappy. Fans were devastated. William Mulholland had a vision that Los Angeles would one day grow in size , population , and power . His dream came true after he came up with a plan to change the Los Angeles water system forever. Certain that this would happen Mulholland shared his idea with Fredrick Eaton the mayor of Los Angeles hoping that he would approve. At that moment Eaton realized that the water could flow from the Owens River to Los Angeles through an aqueduct . With this idea Eaton sent posers to Owens Valley claiming that Owens Valley would gain power , water , and , money but instead the water was diverted to Los Angeles after the construction of the aqueduct was overseen by William Mulholland .
