How the snow leopard was made Once there was a whole kingdom of felines. This kingdom of cats was great but there was a leopard who despised it. He always wanted to talk about how cats could go to other land masses and expand, no one in the kingdom believed him they said he was crazy “No one could go beyond the walls and out to the world, it's to risky!” said one. “Your a fool if you think the kingdom to expand to places like that!” said another. But leopard never believed them he knew they could expand. “It’s time to stop thinking about these things and just be normal” said his mother “That’s it!” said leopard storming out of the house, leaving to the mountains he went far away no one ever saw him again. He climbed to were other cats
Bluestar, the leader, walked out of the forest, and following close behind her was an unusual tourist. The cats all stared, and cringed at the sight Of a petite, red cat from Twolegs that could barely stand up right. They looked up at their leader.
Did you know that there are currently 264 monkey species? Monkeys are the closest animals to man. There are a lot of facts about monkeys people don’t know.
The mandrill (Mandrillus sphinx) is a primate of the Old World monkey (Cercopithecoidea) family. It is one of two species assigned to the genus Mandrillus, along with the drill. Both the mandrill and the drill were once classified as baboons in the genus Papio, but they now have their own genus, Mandrillus.
Patrons of the zoo frequently saw the cat and bear together. When the bear’s habitat expanded in 2007, Muschi cried for her larger companion because the two were separated for extended lengths of time. Sadly, this remarkable friendship came to an end in 2010 when zookeepers had to euthanize the aging bear due to various health issues. No one knows what became of Muschi the cat, but this pair’s inspiring story shows that if a cat and a bear
The grey wolf also known as the timber wolf or wolf is a mammal of the order Carnivore. Genetic studies indicate the grey wolf shares a common ancestry with the domestic dog and might be its ancestor. Many other grey wolf subspecies have been identified however the actual number of subspecies is still open to discussion. Though once abundant over much of North America and areas of Europe and Asia, the grey wolf inhabits a very small portion of its former range because of the widespread destruction of its habitat. Gray wolves are highly adaptable and have thrived in forests, deserts, mountains, tundra and grasslands. They function as social predators and hunt in packs organized according to strict social hierarchies. It was originally believed
This organism lives in the arctic, therefore, it has white fur to camouflage into the snow and ice. Making it impossible for the its predator, vampire butterflies to see them.
While some creatures in the sea are as deadly as they are portrayed, others live behind a facade of lethality. When considering the menacing creatures in the ocean your mind may jump to a great white shark or a barracuda, while these creatures live up to their deadly looks there is another creature that is innocent despite its killer appearance. This menacing looking species resembles the combination of shark and scorpion that has been stretched to give it the profile of a stealth bomber. This miss understood species is a Raja Garmani, more commonly known as the Leopard Skate.
The cat explains that while his master was bathing, rogues stole his clothes, even though the cat tried to stop them. The king sends a servant to fetch some of his clothes for the third son, which the son put on. Lo and behold, when dressed as finely as the king, the third son looks incredibly striking! The third son looks so handsome that the princess falls in love with him. The king asks the third son/the suddenly titled Marquis of Carabas to join him and his daughter on their drive. The third son agrees. Currently, the cat runs ahead of the coach and instructs various farmers to tell the king the lands belong to the Marquis of Carabas. If they will not say those words, the cat promises to chop them up like mincemeat. Either the cat is much more frightening than the sounds, or the peasants are shocked by a cat who has an eloquent grasp of French, so they tell the king exactly as the cat instructed. The third son has enough brains to agree with whatever they say, and he boasts about the productivity of the land. The cat and coach run along until they reach a stately castle. The cat, still running ahead, reaches it first. An incredibly rich ogre lives in the castle, and he owns all the lands the cat claimed for his master. The story doesn’t tell us if the ogre is good or evil, it only says that the cat had taken pains before all of this started to learn about the land, the ogre, and the ogre’s unusual
As human development continues to expand further into the Santa Cruz Mountains, the mountain lion habit incessantly is decreasing creating numerous problems and concerns; such as corridor loss, depredation, and public safety. Over the past decade an increase in encounters has occurred, directly correlating to the increase in habitat fragmentation. Because mountain lions have the greatest geographical range of any land mammal, their home ranges require very large and contiguous territories. The destruction of their previous widespread habitat has created new complications that threaten not only the mountain lion, but the overall biodiversity of the ecological community. Mountain lions are both apex predators and opportunistic carnivores, making them a keystone species. As a keystone species, the mountain lion’s ecological role is extremely
One early morning the lion was getting tired of eating bananas so he got random animals to see who could eat a big stack of bananas. So the lion could not worry about eating any more bananas and then he could go back and start eating meat again like all of the other lions do all the time. So he made that contest for he could see who could eat all of the bananas and win the contest. Then whoever wins will get all of the bananas and they will have to eat all of the bananas and nothing eales. The contest started at lunch time so all of the animals went to the contest and the animals that went was a monkey, zebra, elephant, leopard.

The big summer headline that I have chosen Cecil the Lion. According to an article in The New York Times, the thirteen year old lion was lured out of his out of his sanctuary in a Zimbabwean national park which was placed there to lead Cecil to cross into an unprotected area by hunters. After being lured out, a Dr. Palmer – a dentist, shot the lion, first with a crossbow. The shot with the arrow was not able to kill Cecil and he ran away. He was tracked for nearly two days before finally being killed with a gun shot. Cecil was then decapitated and skinned, leaving the carcass of the lion. Once he was found to be the murderer of the beloved Cecil, he was mobbed digitally. His Yelp page was overrun with many comments blaming him along with his dentistry website was taken offline and many parody accounts popped up of his office.
Tigers are categorized along with six other species of big cats, meaning that these species are more closely related to one another compared to any other cats, such as cheetahs and lynx. The other five species, including the tiger, the lion, the jaguar, the leopard, as well as the snow leopard, split awhile later, some being as recently as only a million years ago, and share the genus name Panthera.
There was a tiger lurking low in the grasslands of Africa. Logan the Lion has spotted him on his way to dinner. He strolled up to the Tiger and introduced himself. “Hello, I’m Logan the Lion,” he said mightily as he he is the king. “Who are you?”
The Snow Leopard is a beautiful and majestic creature endangered animal. There are anywhere between 4,510 and 7,350 left in the wild. Snow Leopards are a very timid creature, if you would try to find one in the wild the easiest way to find one is to find their den. The snow leopard occupies an extremely patchy and fragmented realm of long narrow mountain systems and islands scattered throughout a vast region surrounding the Central Asian deserts and plateaus. Though this region is quite large, 2.3 million km 2, only about 1.6 million of that is occupied by the snow leopard.
