Steve Jobs ““If I had never dropped in on that single calligraphy course in college, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts” (Steve Jobs).
Did you know that people who use Apple computers are 44% more effective in their work? (Tan) The average user of a Mac-only spends 5 hours of troubleshooting time compared to a PC which has 50 hours a year (Fernandes). Steve Jobs was a man of great intelligence, a person of extreme work ethic, and a man that fought through adversity. He learned from his mistakes and never gave up on his goals, or a result of obtaining a net worth of $8.4 billion. In 2012, many students, let alone adults, cannot live without their iPod, iPhone, or iPad, and the man who made all of these things possible was also dyslexic.
Steven Paul Jobs was born on February 24, 1955, in, San Francisco to Joanne Simpson and Abdulfattah Jandali. Jobs was soon adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs in San Francisco. The Jobs family moved to Mountain View, California. Jobs attended the Homestead High School in Cupertino, California (Fernandes). There, he made a friend, Steve Wozniak, who was a computer engineer for Hewlett- Packard. After high school, he went on to enroll at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. Jobs dropped out of college after 6 months but continued to pursue his learning through creative classes at Reed College. Jobs would return Coke bottles for money, receive free meals
