Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas; what holiday is it?

Usually, festive movies only use one holiday, but what if there was a movie with two? That’s when The Nightmare Before Christmas comes in. This movie has a reputation of not distinguishing whether it’s Halloween or Christmas to its viewers. Many people say it’s Halloween because it’s shown all throughout, but others say it’s Christmas because its theme is based around that holiday. I personally deduce that The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween movie. It seems to me that this movie is truly Halloween because of its characters. When the movie first starts, it begins with a song called “This is Halloween” while scanning over its many pedestrians living in Halloween Town. For example, Sally wants to go to Jack’s Christmas gathering thing, so she poisons the scientist who created her. Also, in the movie, everything that is a good thing to the residents of Halloween Town is a creepy, dark, and spooky thing to us. When Jack Skellington finishes his annual Halloween celebration, the many monsters say things such as, “You make rats shriek” and “You make flesh crawl…” as compliments. They also stated, “It was our most horrific Halloween ever!” Finally, I really feel that this movie truly is a Halloween one because Jack Skellington ruins Christmas for a while. Because Jack was so fascinated with Christmas, he decided to hold his own. With that in mind, he had people go and kidnap Santa. This made everything go downhill from there. The Halloween Town pedestrians made toys that were not fit for children. These toys came alive and attacked innocent children that Jack handed them out to. He thought that these toys were fine to give out because he never knew what Christmas was truly
