I believe it shouldn't be banned because of many reasons. One of the reasons is that without guns the people will not be able to protect themselves and will have to trust the police to take care of them. That reason is important due to the fact that people don't like to put their own safety in someone else's hands. Another valuable reason is that the police will not always be there on time. Like in what happened in texas when someone started shooting at church. If someone over there had a gun then he could help neutralize the shooter before the police would come and the
Guns have been used throughout history for war, hunting, and protection. Since then, the killing capacity and speed of guns has improved dramatically. Guns have been a part of American culture from its roots. However, as times have changed and guns are no longer a necessity, gun control has become increasingly urgent to prevent unnecessary crime and killings. Guns should be banned for everyone but the law enforcement and military. Guns should be banned to prevent mass shootings and lower crime rates, while being supported by history and the constitution.
Once every thirteen seconds an American uses a gun to protect themselves (Harris). Americans having to use their guns that frequently is not the ideal situation, but without having guns once every thirteen seconds a person would die from an act of violence. Gun control should not be stricter in the United States because, guns are an excellent source of protection, guns can lower crime rates, and gun control laws only affects law abiding citizens.
Gun violence kills 33,000 Americans and injures over 80,000 people per year. It is ridiculous how much damage guns have brought to not only us, but the world itself. From Columbine, to Sandy Hook, to the movie theatre to the Oregon Community College shooting, it has just been ridiculous. This is all because we in America believe it is okay for people to carry guns and for them to be used if “needed”. If they were always banned to begin with, we would never have had this problem. The private ownership of handguns should be banned in the United States. Handguns have been proved to be dangerous to society in recent events, they are the deadliest weapon in America, and lastly, guns cost Americans hundreds of extra dollars that could be avoided if they were banned.
Gun control is a law that controls how guns are sold and used, and who can own them. Allowing people to possess and use a gun with legal documents in the United States is legal. There have been arguments on whether or not is should be legal to own a gun as some people see it as beneficial and others do not. It is believed that guns are beneficial to have, and they are there because we need to be able to protect ourselves. We should not allow the government to have power over gun control for many reasons including the loss of tradition of hunting, not being able to protect ourselves, and simply because of the second amendment.
I believe everyone should have the right to be able to keep a gun on them if they choose. If the government puts laws on guns, it's likely that less people will have a chance at protecting themselves. Also these gun laws will not prevent people from having illegal guns. Many criminals use illegal weapons so the guns can't be traced back to them. Few people
Have we the people ever wondered why there was an amendment about guns? Everyday the news shows a person dead or murdered by someone with a gun. It’s just not on the news, it’s also what’s going on around us in the world. Since guns has been invented, people have illegally used them. Gun control isn’t the only issue, but many. Gun control has been a controversial topic, no doubt. It has led people to say that people shouldn’t be able to buy guns, and this argument has split America. Since I am a hunter I do believe people should have the right to buy guns. I also want to pass a bill that removes some types of guns away from the market.
There are 20 % of gun owners own 65% of the guns. Why can anybody get a gun?
There are over 300 million guns in the united states as of 2016 which translates to 93 guns per hundred people. living that's just in the united states there are 870 million known firearms throughout the world today. That doesn't count illegal guns no one known about like black market guns. The Bureau is in charge of reducing the possible risk of public safety with illegal gun trafficking, criminal possession, and use of firearms, and enforcing compliance with federal laws, and regulation of the gun industry.
Violence is out of control, and guns are a major cause - Should Guns Be Banned? introduction. This is a belief many Americans now share. This belief is fueling a nationwide movement that could result in a total prohibition on private-gun ownership in the near future. Just imagine if every handgun owner was made to dispose of their gun, how much more peaceful the U. S. or rather the world would be? Ownership of private guns is being banned one step at a time.
Guns should not be banned as a whole. There are many precautions that can be taken before completely getting rid of all machinery. The first step to controlling the usage of guns would be to limit who has the access to purchase them. This might sound difficult, but it doesn 't have to be. One way is to have a full background check on anyone who is interested in buying a gun before being sold to, insuring that the gun is in good hands. If the buyer rejects the background check that should be an automatic red flag and the
