Research Paper On Why Guns Should Be Outlawed

Guns are used for protection, power, and sporting purposes. Guns are beneficial to society when used by trained professionals, such as the police and military. When in untrained hands, however, guns can cause death to friends, neighbors, family members and children. Due to their small size, weight and concealability, handguns pose some of the greatest risks to the public, ranging from accidental death in the home to mass shootings in public places. Consequently, private ownership of handguns should be banned by the US government due to their irresponsible use in murders and accidental deaths, the increased dangers to others caused by their concealability, and the availability of alternative, non-lethal self-defense weapons.

There are over 300 million guns in the united states as of 2016 which translates to 93 guns per hundred people. living that's just in the united states there are 870 million known firearms throughout the world today. That doesn't count illegal guns no one known about like black market guns. Next i have found more crimes are committed with illegal guns or with people who aren't legally allowed to obtain guns because of crimes or any other reason. So now it comes down to why take it out on the percent of the population that do things legally and enjoy it.

Gun control is a law that controls how guns are sold and used, and who can own them. Allowing people to possess and use a gun with legal documents in the United States is legal. There have been arguments on whether or not is should be legal to own a gun as some people see it as beneficial and others do not. It is believed that guns are beneficial to have, and they are there because we need to be able to protect ourselves. We should not allow the government to have power over gun control for many reasons including the loss of tradition of hunting, not being able to protect ourselves, and simply because of the second amendment.

Have we the people ever wondered why there was an amendment about guns? Everyday the news shows a person dead or murdered by someone with a gun. It’s just not on the news, it’s also what’s going on around us in the world. Since guns has been invented, people have illegally used them. Gun control isn’t the only issue, but many. To some it’s a crime to others, it is a right. It’s not just a safety issue, it can involve education, race, and even political problems. Within these issues there are those who want gun control laws to be enforced and those who want less. More gun control laws should be enacted.

Public places like college campuses are often victim to acts of both domestic and foreign terrorism. It is a common perception that in order to prevent shootings from happening you have to make college campuses a gun-free environment. This only makes the students who go to college feel even more unsafe. Students who are the victims of stalking are often in a state of fear as they are unable to defend themselves if a situation turns dire. The question of whether or not if guns should be on campus is not simply about the safety of students, but it also is an argument about the rights of students to bear arms that are protected by the Second Amendment. Guns have been used throughout history for war, hunting, and protection. Since then, the killing capacity and speed of guns has improved dramatically. Guns have been a part of American culture from its roots. However, as times have changed and guns are no longer a necessity, gun control has become increasingly urgent to prevent unnecessary crime and killings. There has always been a controversial idea and that is whether people should be allowed to carry guns or not. Some people believe that there are too many guns on the streets. Some people believe that they should be allowedaloud to have as many guns as they please. I personally say that gun laws are too strict today. Apparently there are too many killings with guns so they’re bad, guns do nothing but harm and put people in danger, leaving everyone afraid of them. Well let’s suggest to ban guns completely in America. No more guns on the streets, in homes, at the White House just no where in America.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people....but guns sure make it really easy to do. The point that I think most liberals are trying to get across is that banning guns won't get rid of gun violence completely but it WILL help lower it significantly. And maybe small steps are what's really necessary such as stricter regulations and a complete ban on assault rifles. But we HAVE to move in that direction for the sake of all these horrible massacres and other gun crimes that you don't even hear about on the news.

The United States has issues with guns. We need better gun control so these killings stop happening and innocent young or older lives stop getting taken away too soon. Stephen Paddock fired more than 1,100 rounds that night. It is known as the deadliest mass shooting committed by an individual in the United States. With the recent mass shooting which occurred at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, 17 people were killed and 17 more were injured by bullets making it the number one deadliest school massacre in the U.S.. Nikolas Cruz is only 19 with known mental illness and was still able to purchase a semi-automatic rifle. Though there is no proven mental illness on Stephen Paddock, it is still a possibility that he was mentally
