Her other involvements in school beyond academics including boxing, singing, and playing billiard shows that after a long hour week, she will still be able to initiate and contribute to various firm-wide activities. This can be further confirmed by the fact that how successfully she maintains her strong academic record while taking 20 credits each semester and engaging in wide array of other activities.

Working in a competitive and friendly environment has always motivated me to take up new challenges and as a result I have decided to rush Delta Sigma Pi, a professional fraternity that focuses also on social connections. As a young woman who strives to make a difference both locally and globally, I know that membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will aid in accomplishing my life long goals. The emphasis this organization places on assisting and supporting others through the Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, is truly a reflection of the public service initiatives that I make an effort to take part in. The opportunity to form a lifelong bond with other college educated women, who share some of the same morals and beliefs as I do, is phenomenal. I know that membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will mean taking that initiative to become a part of something that’s bigger than myself, because I certainly can’t take on the world alone. The incredible
English Service Language Director Ms. Hadeel Betti helped in selecting a candidate for the interview. I was shocked at her age of 31 years by her tiny frame as she approached for the interview. She was very pleasant, very polite and eager to smile at every appropriate moment.
Some activities may require an attendance of once a week, while some require three days a week. Activities that requires strong commitment, such as soccer and basketball, are not only time consuming but are also physically and mentally draining. For example, a student maybe required to attend training for four hours a day and three times a week. By the time the student returns home, he would be extremely tired after attending school for six hours followed by strenuous four hours of training. Furthermore, the student would have to spend another one to two hours completing assignments that are due the next day. Hence, teenagers would not have any time to sit back, be relaxed and be bored as they would be busy trying to balance the limited amount of time needed for both studies and after-school

Some may debate that students might often have trouble finding the time to do their homework or school studies with after school sports and late after school schedules. In Alex’s view, he says “As long as the sport schedules aren’t very long, they should be just fine.” He is insisting that as long as students can manage enough time to do their studies and complete their assigned homework, they should be able to finish their work in time. This proves my stance by stating that school sports shouldn’t get in the way of academics if scheduling is

With this lesson in mind, I joined the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, which deepened my friendships and enthusiasm for service. Through Phi Delta Theta, I also had a chance to meet passionate University of Akron alumni who deepened my commitment to the Akron community. I also sought out internships earlier than most students in my field, and was able to complete two before entering my senior year. During the summer following my sophomore year, I was honored to have the opportunity to complete an internship with the J.M. Smucker Company. More recently, I completed an internship with Ernst & Young, LLP, one of the four largest professional services firms in the world, where I will be working full-time upon graduation. I would not have had the knowledge or the confidence to pursue these opportunities without the mentoring I received through the Williams Honors College.

Greek life is a big part of her life as well, internship, volleyball intramural, lock and key and finally various community services with her Greek society and without.
