Response to Ephesians 4:1 What Ephesians 4:1 “Live a life worthy of the calling you have received" means to me is that I should live in a manner that is good and deserving. Ephesians 4:1 applies to me as a christian and an active member of society, I believe I have a purpose in life and I should fulfil that purpose and be the prime example. According to Ephesians as a christian I am supposed to live a life where I would be worthy of being called a christian. To me that means being kind hearted, loving, and living a life with meaning. Like others I am not perfect but I believe we should always be kind to one another no matter the differences. I think it is especially important in today’s society, where it seems as if the negative is outweighing
To live a life that is not only fulfilling but also morally sound is a dream to countless of people worldwide, but in a world where moral standards differ from culture to culture and person to person what way is actually the correct way to live. Should a person lead a life dedicated to selflessness and to help others before even his or herself? Or should a person live their lives dedicated to better themselves and their wants, desires, and interests?
CONSTRUCTED RESPONSE 1. China's one-child policy was one of the worst things that could have happened to the country. The One Child Policy was a policy that left many couples unable to have more than one-child, this policy was introduced because of China's rapidly growing population. So is the one-child policy a good idea? No, the one-child policy was a bad idea because of all the negative social and emotional effects it had on China as a country.
A biblical worldview should influence the way I think about, treat, and speak to others on a daily basis because I do not want to go around and degrade everyone that comes into sight. I should always treat others with the upmost respect even if I do not get treated with respect by that individual. I should not always judge others on how they look, speak, or act because I would not like it if someone came up to me and started pointing out every flaw that I had. Matthew 7:12 states “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Therefore, individuals need to be more mindful of their words and actions because an individual can really hurt someone mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Paul tells us of the culture that God expects of humans, he says God wants humans to live happy and righteous lives in honor of Jesus Christ. Humans should live in the culture of Christ. Treating others well in our deeds. Living a Non-Judgmental life, we are not to judge others. We are to help
Mexico has many fascinating things about it. The most interesting to me, is the language and food. The word "Mexico" is derived from the word “Mexica” (pronounced "Me-shee-ka"), the name for the native group that settled in central Mexico in the early fourteenth century and is best known as the Aztecs.
The Christian worldview holds that one is to honor God by serving others. The scriptures in the Bible teach Christians to act out of kindness, to give unto others, and to treat others as they would like to be treated. Acts 20:35 “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’”
Once one determines their purpose, one may achieve fulfilment through living a righteous life. Specifically, by determining ways to benefit and contributing society. Socrates touches on how righteous attributes are beneficial to not only to yourself but to the community as well. “Wealth does not bring about excellence, but excellence makes wealth and everything else good for men, both individually and collectively.” (Plato, n.d.). One may live a fulfilling life through mission work and focusing on the needs of the people around them.
The author concludes that Christians are to live faithfully by the values of the bible. As members of society, we are expected to play a critical role in in our community rather than isolating ourselves from those opposed to Christian worldviews. There are ways for Christians to live out their faith, but still remain active parts in the community.
Another code of ethic that is important to me is to exhibit generosity. This code of ethic is not only based on my religious belief but it is morally right. The bible states that God loves a cheerful giver; it also states that one should give and God will see others give to you. I believe that generosity is the habit of giving without coercion. I think people see me as a generous person. To me generosity goes beyond a wealthy person giving charitable donations such as money or expensive gifts to the less fortunate. Being generous to me is merely paying a bus ticket for my daughter since she cannot afford it. Other examples of generosity is sharing dinner with a homeless person, giving a gift to siblings whose parents cannot afford a Christmas present. I will continue to be generous because the thought of sharing and giving unselfishly without wanting in return shows that I do care about others and is a personal ethics that I attribute.
To live their life based on what their intuition is telling them to, not based on what others do.
Isaiah 43:21 reveals God’s purpose in creating us; to give Him praise through worship. As a leader/minister, preaching the gospel, teaching, providing an environment conducive to growth and flourishing, reproducing the character of Christ, and leading others to worship and delight of God is my real responsibility. Matthew 28:19-20 says, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the ages.”
Since its arrival in mainstream literature in the late 18th century, the genre of gothic literature maintains its place as one of the most captivating and intriguing writing styles. Attributing to this popularity is the dark approach to romantic era works, resulting in novels full of death, mystery, and suspense ("The Gothic: Overview"). One of the earliest and most influential examples of gothic literature is Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. This novel remains one of the most popular and stolen-from classics in this genre because of Mary’s excellent plot and execution ("The Gothic: Overview"). In Frankenstein, Shelley creates the perfect piece of gothic literature by implementing the use of death, supernatural elements, and ominous settings to
God created all people as equals. As a believer in God, I serve him through service to others and my community. I take on responsibilities of helping others in my community, volunteering, and donating goods. At all times I abide by these principles: worship only God, respect people, be humble, be honest, live a moral life, be generous with time, practice my views, do not criticize, judge, or condemn, do not hold a grudge, and forgive others. I believe it is right to resist temptation while knowing that evil lurks around. I believe one-day God will return and seek judgment for his people. To live morally and ethically divine is obligatory to have eternal life. As a person and professional, I understand and acknowledge that not all human beings embrace the same views as me and I respect the views of others.
The true nature of living a life through the image of God is not done by simply reading from the text, but acting through it. Galatians chapter 6 verse 2 states “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” As Christ gave his life for the selfless love of us, we must honor that by in turn pouring out love onto others. We must let people lean on us for strength and guidance, and in turn we will lean on them. In my life, it can be easy for me to be selfish in my actions. It’s hard sometimes to go out of my way to give people a loving presence
Paul wrote the letter to Ephesus in regards to Christians and how their lives should be directed and it explains how Christ has made the ultimate sacrifice and the results of that sacrifice. Some of the results and benefits include spiritual blessings, the gift of salvation through hearing the word of the truth, and the ability to grow closer to God. Also in Paul’s letter, it provides Christians, new and old, an instruction booklet of how we should live our lives according to how God would want us Christians to live our lives. Such information includes what roads are needed to take in order to get closer to God, how achieve spiritual gifts and powers from the Holy Spirit, and the way to protect against the attacks from the evil one. Ephesians 3:16-18 is spoken in the second part of Paul’s letter when he talks about the gift of salvation. Paul prays that his people may be fulfilled with the power through his Spirit in the inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith.
