Result- Based Analysis appeals to common sense. What is the greatest good for the greatest number of people? “A results based approach, is useful for administrators seeking the common good for the majority of citizens,” which is the pregnant women in the state of Jackson. (Bowman & West, 2015 pg. 119) When Olivia accepted the position as manager; she was unaware of Gloria’s actions. However now that she is in the position, it is important that Olivia makes the right ethical decision going forward. When looking at Oliva’s situation with Results-Based approach it is important to think of the greater good. Was Gloria’s actions for the greater good or would reporting Gloria be for the greater good? Olivia has to decide would it actually help the
d. Reach a Conclusion: It is important to consider whether the conclusion reached makes sense when taking into account the bigger picture. At this stage, it is appropriate to consider the strength of evidence and whether the alternatives considered and evidence gathered have been considered in a way that is objective and unhindered by judgment traps.

Management in healthcare institutions obtains presentations that pertain to workers’ injuries and illness costs. The figures acquire adequate support from the management provided that the data cites credible and the right references. However, researchers lack adequate hard data and research backing to defend direct and indirect cost ratios that they frequently utilize in relation to the safety-related literature.
Policy making in criminal justice can be broken down into two main focal points; monitoring and evaluation. During the monitoring phase, this is where factual information about policy goals are monitored. During the evaluation phase, this is where the question arises; did the monitoring phase address the potential outcome of the intended objective? In criminal justice, the formal evaluation model would benefit these types of policies. This paper will summarize the formal evaluation model and explain why it is the most effective evaluation process in criminal justice. This paper will also look at a policy involved with criminal justice and provide reasoning
Introduction Once I completed my 3-day analysis, I realized I didn’t eat a sufficient amount of food; I had nowhere near enough water, I hardly had fruits and vegetables, and I had fast food like Jimmy Johns and Taco Bell. After completing this assignment, I have tried my best to improve my eating habits by strengthening my weaknesses. In my final analysis, I will identify the strongest and the weakest points of my 3-day analysis, and what I have done and will do to improve my diet. Strengths
It is with out a doubt that in our country the United States of America the lower and middle class have the common perception that the government and the “super rich” have some kind of unknown agreement to maintain extremely lower tax rates on the “super rich”. What do the “super rich” do with all the saved money coming from the tax cut is another unknown, perhaps some luxurious new home, car, or maybe put it to work and continue getting richer. While all this may be true to some degree, one of the “super rich” elite members has stepped fourth not only once but a few time but none compare to his current attempt to make change.
As the world of work becomes more complex, many workers need training to avoid losing their jobs or being passed over for promotion. Consequently, many who would not have considered college 20 or even 15 years ago are finding themselves back in school. As adults become students, employers, colleges, and workers are changing old notions about how to go about pursuing higher learning.
The new intervention that I would like to implement at Huther Doyle is meditation. Using meditation and mindfulness will help patients be able to center themselves and provide a time for centering in their hectic lives. Normal group sessions are two hours long. When implementing meditation the same length of group time will be necessary for billing purposes. The two hour session will be distributed with the first 30 minutes consisting of meditation and the last hour and a half consisting of discussion. The meditation will be lead by the primary group counselor or myself. The
A problem solving strategy considers the initial & goal state of a problem, and the obstacles that will inhibit an effortless transition between the two states. Means-end analysis is a method for solving a problem that was first introduced by Newell and Simon in the 1960’s. This search heuristic reduces the problem space by breaking the problem into smaller parts, or sub goals. The completion of each sub goal reduces the difference between the initial and goal state until the goal is reached. The means-ends analysis is a flexible technique that always keeps the long-range goal in mind, and is often used in solving everyday problems.
The main concern is that there are many problems and not much time to complete them. Carl will need to evaluate, prioritize, and find solutions to each issue quickly. Carl has many obstacles to overcome, but the July deadline is still a reachable goal.
There is a tremendous amount of literature regarding Organizational Culture as it relates to corporate business. Peters and Waterman (1982) book, In Search of Excellence: Lessons from America’s Best Run Companies, became the blueprint for organizational success. With the paradigm shift of hospitals becoming more “business- like” through mergers, acquisition, and pay for performance, organizational culture in a hospital setting will need to be furthered analyzed and defined as a predicator of success.
People encounter problems on the daily basis where they frequently use a heuristic approach to solve problems. That is an informal, intuitive procedure where people rely on their general knowledge to find a solution. Although heuristic is not always guaranteed to find a solution, a good heuristic usually results in the correct solution. Moreover, there are different general problem-solving heuristics such as hill climbing and means-end analysis; however, this paper will mainly focus on describing the means-end analysis heuristic. Further, the means-end analysis aims to reduce the problem space by breaking the problem into smaller parts then solving only one part of the problem at a time. To illustrate, when preparing a meal, people
The results reflect my way of taking my decisions every day, because I always look to assert the best decisions, and comply with the goals and objectives of the original business plan. However, my decisions are taken based of the wellness of the entire company including employees and employers.
Many times when faced with a hard decision to make or one that involves many different factors or consequences the executive tends to look for “an educated guess” or “take a calculated risk” but no real calculation is done nor any education is obtained to deal with uncertainty concerning the decision.
The objective of this paper is to review the pros and cons of result-based M & E. First a conceptual background is presented with basic definitions of the terminology involved in RBM. This will then follow a discussing on how RBM changed the roles of M & E and an analysis of factors for and against result-based M & E (pros and cons) with illustration of examples wherever possible.
