The resurrection of Jesus Christ
I do believe they was an resurrection of Jesus Christ, they are several scripture of the Bible that reveal the resurrection of Jesus Christ and these scripture are Matthew 28:1-20; Mark 16:1-20; Luke 24:1-53; and John 20:1–21:25. Also the resurrection was taken place in the book Acts (Acts 1:1-11). From these passages you can gain several substantiations that Jesus Christ was resurrect from the death. First is the melodramatic change in the disciples. They went from a group of men frightened and in hiding to strong, courageous witnesses sharing the gospel throughout the world. The apostle Paul. What changed him from being a persecutor of the church into an apostle for the church? It was when the risen Christ appeared to him on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-6). A third convincing proof is the empty tomb. If Christ were not raised, then where is His body? The disciples and others saw the tomb where He was

A key passage on Christ’s resurrection is 1 Corinthians 15. In this chapter, the apostle Paul explains why it is crucial to understand and believe in Christ’s resurrection. The resurrection is important for the following reasons: 1) If Christ was not raised from the dead, believers will not be either (1 Corinthians 15:12-15). 2) If Christ was not raised from the dead, His sacrifice for sin was not sufficient (1 Corinthians 15:16-19). Jesus’ resurrection proved that His death was accepted by God as the atonement for our sins. If He had simply died and stayed dead, that would indicate His sacrifice was not sufficient. As a result, believers would not be forgiven for their sins, and they would remain dead after they die (1 Corinthians 15:16-19). There would be no such thing as eternal life (John 3:16). “But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep” (1 Corinthians 15:20
This paper is a review of the book The Resurrection of Jesus: A New Historiographical Approach by Michael Licona. This book is comprised of pages that “investigate the question of the historicity of Jesus’ resurrection while providing unprecedented interaction with the literature of professional historians outside of the community of biblical scholars on both hermeneutical and methodological considerations.” The book is separated into five long chapters: “Chapter 1: Important Consideration pertaining to Historical Truth” , “Chapter 2: The Historians and Miracles”, “Chapter 3: Historical Sources Pertaining to the Resurrection of Christ”, “Chapter 4: The Historical Bedrock Pertaining to the Fate of Jesus”, and “Chapter 5: Weighing Hypothesis”.
John nine verses one through seven is the being of the grace giving and truth telling of Jesus in this section. When Jesus spoke with the man that was blind I believe he ministered to him and gave him a brief explanation of who he was. The disciples asked him if this man sinned from birth or did his parents sin? Jesus used the truth telling when he answered the disciples by saying this man didn't sin at birth and neither has his parents sinned. It also gives truth-telling by letting the disciples know that it was to give God the glory. Now for the grace-giving part of Jesus, is him giving the Blind man back his sight. The reason why this was grace-giving was because this man had been blind his whole life, but when he came in contact with Jesus, he showed him grace by healing him.
Jesus is alive, for he continued to work in the lives of his disciples. The change of the lives of his followers demonstrate the work of Christ in them. Our historical knowledge relies on testimonies. The testimonies of the disciples are valid because eleven of them dies for their belief in the claims that Jesus made (McDowell 89-90). The power of Jesus is shown through them. Initially, they were cowards in their faith. Peter denied Jesus three time, and Thomas doubted Jesus’ resurrection. The disciples’ weak faith in Jesus and doubt in his resurrection suddenly transformed into an undeniable belief that led them to give up their lives for this Jesus. What could have changed the disciples’ minds so suddenly besides the witnessing of the resurrection of Jesus. They all personally had an encounter with the resurrected body of Jesus. Peter, one of the disciples of Jesus, proclaimed that
Jesus death could not have gone unnoticed. (Matthew 27, 51-52). Jesus death was accompanied by at least four miraculous events, darkness, the tearing in two of the curtain in the temple, an earthquake, and dead people rising from tombs. The middle wall of partition was broken down. Therefore, the gentiles can draw night to God by the blood of Jesus Christ.
It is true that raising his actual body signifies that he has the power and authority over death. Moreover, it shows that he also have the power and authority over life. "The Lord brings death and makes alive; he brings down to the grave and raises up" (1 Samuel 2:6). His resurrection was crucial not only since he had spoken about it to his disciple, likewise, the scripture had to be fulfill. It is also true that his resurrection give a new meaning to faith. Since, some still did not believe or have faith in him, it gives them the evidence they needed to seal their faith.
The discussion post presents an interesting argument for the inclusion of the Resurrection as a sign. Several intriguing points are made and provide some notable opinions. Interesting is the definite fact pointed out that death is enviable. Jesus is clear that there is a death that all must face, but also a life that is available for those who chose it. Morris mentions that Jesus never hid the fact that each person is faced with a choice they have to make with concern and results effecting their eternal life. However while Jesus presents this in full disclosure to His disciples, it is apparent that the chief priests and the Pharisees where the only ones who actually took Him seriously since they posted guards at the tomb. Even to this
Even though Jesus had prepared his disciples through his teachings; his disciples were struggling on believing on what Jesus had promise. Due to their spirit was weak and not strong enough to sustained all the events. Jesus crucifixion was too much for them to bear and their faith was put to test. As Jesus warned them in several occasions to be prepared and pray for those hard times. When Jesus took him to pray in Gethsemane, In Matthew 26:36-44 is testimony of how many times Jesus warn them to pray to keep alert for those hard time. That is what Jesus was referring to.
Jesus miracle play an important role in his ministry. From the healing of the sick, to the raising of the dead, and the feeding of the hunger, not only show his chief purpose of walking the earth, besides his true nature, also him as the Messiah. Moreover, his miracles also illustrating who he really was (the son of God). One example would be the calming of the storm. “And they went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm” (Luke 8:24). Moreover, his miracles illustrated the kingdom of God, point people to him as the son of God, demonstrated his love, mercy and compassion for us, and demonstrated his authority. Another example of Jesus’
In the modern Western culture, there are few topics that are more controversial than the discussion of Jesus Christ in public places, whether on the political stage, in the workplace, or in public schools. The silence of Christians in the face of violent criticism against the faith has led many to wrongly assume that Christianity is a faith based on myths and falsehoods, which could never be backed by fact or historical evidence. At the center of this assumption is the resurrection of Jesus, an event so miraculous that, without digging a little deeper, it seems impossible that it could actually be supported by evidence. However, regardless of how impossible it might seem, there is a wealth of evidence available to support the biblical Resurrection
Still, the resurrection of Jesus Christ has been under persistent attacks since the Apostolic age. Why? Because it is the central confirmation of Jesus' identity as the incarnate Son of God, and the ultimate sign of Christ's completed work of atonement, redemption, reconciliation, and salvation. Those who oppose
The resurrection in the gospel message is very important to any reader/believer. Its very important for many reasons, first off the gospel would be incomplete without the resurrection. If Jesus walked the earth and was the messiah, he was a healer, a sinless man, performed miracles, and taught about the kingdom of God but then died then we would have no hope in the afterlife.
I, as an individual being, believe that the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ indeed happened, and I also accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. As a child, I was raised in a Christian home; because of this, I consider myself as a Christian. However, I did deal with the uncertainty of my faith as I grew older. I can say this doubt was primarily because I had so many questions about this world- all its pain and misery- and to no relief, I could not find any suitable answers. And if I could find an explanation, that explanation would just lead to more issues. It felt like an endless search for the truth. This pursuit for answers made me feel hopeless and made me question everything, including God's judgment. Which of course caused
Jesus was put on this earth, humbled as a man, to die so that we could be righteous in God’s eyes. In the Bible, Matthew 27:37 states that Jesus, King of Jews was crucified, not Judas. Jesus had to become cursed to save us from our sins, so he was crucified on a cross. The Romans clearly did not allow for Jesus to escape the cross alive, as they were advanced people. They had crucified people before, and knew to make sure they were dead. Also, Jesus was thirsty in the cross, which was most likely a result of the beatings he had previously received. Finally, if Jesus had not risen from the dead, he would not have shown us how awesome he is. He died, and rose again! It’s truly amazing. It was his resurrection which inspired the disciples. John 5:8 states, “Jesus said to them, ‘Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” Jesus could not be before Abraham if he was simply a man.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is not a miracle, special effects or a magic show. It's a message, a sign, it has a deeper meaning. When I think of the resurrection, the word hope comes to mind. If I had a penny for every time I thought I was going to give up I would have a lot of pennies. But in my doubts, I thought about Jesus rising from the grave and what he went through, how he had faith in his father, and hope in his heart that he would be able to get through the pain he was suffering from us, why can't I keep pushing through. Now I'm not saying I'm Jesus, I couldn't go through all that pain for a lot of these people and still have love for all of them afterwards, that's why he's one of a kind. The resurrection gives me hope in society,
Energy runs the world. From cell phones to cars to computers, every technological advancement of the last millennium is dependent on one basic fundamental: the need for energy. However, within the last century, a global energy crisis has shocked the earth. Current power production methods pollute the environment, tearing ecosystems apart and destroying species. A clean, renewable, and powerful energy source is needed to survive. Nuclear energy is this source. The field of nuclear power is a modern, rising newcomer; however, nuclear energy is not as prominent within the energy industry as it must be. To truly stamp in change, the U.S government must grant more funds towards nuclear research and nuclear energy production must increase. Nuclear energy is the ultimate power source because it boasts only a minimal impact on the environment, leaves little waste, and is safe for humans.
