Most modern stores layout revolves around forms like grid layout, racetracks and free forms. Using 3-D software to design the stores. On entering the basic information about the store site onto the computer, the program starts generating the two-dimensional drawings of various segments of the store & then assembles them into 3-D shapes. These 3-D images help in better understanding of the spatial ideas, thus giving a more realistic picture of how a store would look, once constructed. The new era is experiencing the competition form Virtual stores.
