Pir-e-Kamil (SAW) meaning The Perfect Mentor, is one of the fiction novel written by well known and famous Pakistani writer Umera Ahmed. The book was firstly published in 2005 in Urdu language and later on in 2011 the book was published in English language too. I have

The novel’s plot, facts expressed in the novel, the scenes hence, everything was heart touching, heart shaking and perfect. It is not just an ordinary novel, but Pir-e-Kamil will let you examine your own life and see if the lives we are living are in accordance with what Allah (God) wants us to live like in this World. The story of the book is such a great one that no one can sit without admiring it. It shows the people who love Allah and His Messenger (SAW) and how people have changed by the will of Allah through other people. It is spiritual story. I 'm sure that there are many people who go through such phases in their lives, infact I think everyone gets a chance at least once in their lives. It also depends on who want that change. Surely, Allah listens and knows what 's in our hearts. One of my favorite parts was when Salar was in a "fishy" area and hears the name Imamah and the way Umera described his reaction was just superb and fabulous. Great characterization shown by Umera Ahmed in this book. Your heart totally went out for Salar even when you knew he wasn 't a good guy - what a great way to craft a character in the book. It is really a masterpiece of Umera Ahmed and no doubt the book has a magic spell .Although it is totally a fiction novel but after reading this you will just think that may be Salar Sikandar exists or Imamah exists in this World. The concepts
Besides the author’s writing style, the plot of this book was very interesting and sad. Jamal’s older brother was in jail due to murder and his mother is a single parent that has to work nearly 24 hours a day to support Jamal and his
I really rooted for her to save her brother and was surprised at at all the plot twists. The varying point of views can be a somewhat confusing but as the novel progresses, it helps the reader piece together the story. I really liked how the point of views all tied together in the end too. The characters are all very realistic and have their flaws, which helps the reader relate to them. One of my favorite quotes of the book is “Cruelty isn't a personality trait.
In my opinion I thought that this book was a very good book. In this chapter I will describe the setting, theme, plot and conflict etc. This book had a few different settings like
After reading the book I will say that I enjoyed it a lot more than what I thought I was. I honestly didn’t feel like it had a lot of weaknesses to it. With that being said I felt that the book had a few strengths that stood out about it. One of the first things that stood out about it was the style that the book was written. I felt that it was well written in context and in style. I love the style that he wrote for his chapters. Like most books this book had names in its chapters. I know that doesn’t sound special but I felt like the names of the chapters flowed with what the chapter. I felt when reading the book that I was reading a book within a book because every chapter was a little different in its own way.
I wouldn’t recommend this book to the average reader. It is a bit hard to read because the author goes into so much depth that the reader could very often forget the main idea. It is a good, informative book but a bit drawn out.
I found it extraordinary with every decision or turning point a character faced in their lives. What I have assimilated from this book is you cannot let where you come from determine your path, it is only you who can determine your future. This is also why the author Wes was one of my favorite characters in this narrative. His story is one out of a multitude that shows anyone can have a bright future. But I did not discern any similarities with the characters and myself. We all were born into different situations and grew up around opposite influences. Overall, my impression of the novel is positive I believe it is an outstanding book and anyone else who reads it I would hope agrees. I would definitely recommend this book to people because it may help them appreciate
It is scary when you don’t know anybody and have to try to make new friends. Many of your young childhood friends will stay with you for a lifetime. Today, I am still friends with many of my oldest friends. They have become like family. I want to say that this novel is a great way for people to see how somebody from a diverse population lives. It is a great book from the view of somebody living a completely different life than I have lived. I think it was very well written and is easy to read. This makes it a great teaching tool for children of younger age groups or college students as well. I read this entire book at one sitting because it kept my interest the entire time. I couldn’t wait to see what
The characters bring a riveting story to life when reading. Throughout the book, I felt emotions left and right for the characters and what they were going through. There is a lot of mystery and questioning that will be answered later in the book, but once its done, there are still many questions being asked. when I look for a book, that is something that stands out to me because I really want to read more, and when you have that reaction to a book, that means it was worth reading. I found this book remarkable because of the behaviors, characteristics, and decisions that the characters make, and I recommend this book to everyone, even if they don’t like to
This novel was definitely a rollercoaster because you thought you knew what was going to happen next but bang it would just end up shocking you. One thing that really surprised me was how angry he became with his family because he was of a darker skin tone than the rest of them. I mean that isn't something the family had control over and ended up not seeing his mother for a very long time until before her death. I also found it interesting that the father was able to get away with cheating on his wife and she would do nothing about it but only turn one eye to pretend it wasn't happening. I feel like I could sort of relate to his novel in some sort of way. Being a light skinned Mexican, I have noticed I get treated differently from dark skinned Mexicans. I don't mean this in an offensive way but I have received better treatment throughout my whole life for being a light skinned Mexican. For instance, I was standing behind a dark skinned Mexican man in the grocery line and the cashier wasn't very friendly with him and didn't seem to care about him whatsoever. Once it was my turn the cashier greeted me kindly and tried to make conversation. I didn’t really think about it until I took this course because I didn’t think it was such a big deal, but now looking back at it, it kind of is. Racial discrimination happens everyday around us and Piri noticed it
this writing was powerful and interesting, the strengths are that it had alot of sequences and amusing details and events, I can’t say this book has any weakness. Overall, this book was a great adventurous book, very interesting. Yes, I would recommend this book for others, because it is a great entertainment and a can’t put the book down kind of
I liked how in one scene from the story she described the surroundings as, “Wide expanses of moonlit grass separated the east and west sides of the street.” I also liked how the author used vivid description to create imagery on the appearances of the characters such as when Henri was described as being tired and weary immediately before he collapsed. One thing that I didn't like about the book was how the figures in the book that were deemed untrustworthy were turned into demons and other creatures. This did not seem very appropriate towards how the story was presented. The author could have made them glow a different color or done something that wouldn't have been so gruesome and terrible. This book was very inspirational and interesting to me despite the demons and vampires.
I thought this book was well written. It had a good plot with a couple twists and turns thrown in there. The plot of the story also held many different types of emotion. Therefore, it was sad at some points, happy and exciting, or even surprising at times in the story. I also thought that the book gave off a strong message/theme that applies to the real world. Next,
There are many points in the story were the protagonist of the novel, Amir struggles with his past because of how he let his close friend and also servant in his home, Hassan, be treated in a way that you would not want a friend to be treated.
This book was very unique in the way R.J Palacio decided to write it. I think it was a great idea to write it like she did, with all of the character’s different perspectives, because it kept it interesting and gave me a better understanding of the book. I loved being able to read about the different characters in more depth, and she did a great job of showing the characters emotions and making them relate to ours. She was able to grasp
In the article “Can Online Peer Assessment be Trusted?”, authors Bouzidi & Jaillet explore the notion of the validity of online peer exam assessment within an precise science field via their own study as compared to the study of others. Bouzidi & Jaillet found that online peer exam assessment can be trusted as valid and equivalent to the instructor’s assessment when certain factors are in place. The peer assessment method is given more legitimacy when it incorporates self-assessment in the process, uses a minimum of 4 raters, and includes safeguards such as quality marking schemes, clear questions, technical assistance, quality assessment tools and assessment examples. Also considered in this report is the difference peer assessment has on teacher workload. Although peer exam assessment may assist teachers in recognizing what is wrong with an exam, it did not show to be
