Another application software that is used within the information systems is enterprise resource planning software. The enterprise resource planning software allows businesses and government agencies to transmit and share different financial data. When working within a company, the company’s payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting information systems all interact with one another. The company’s payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting information systems all are recorded within the company’s software programs and database. All companies must keep track of their employee payroll, which is maintained and controlled within the information systems. Along with payroll being documented into the company’s information systems what a company is bringing in and owing (accounts receivable and accounts payable) is also recorded and controlled with the company’s information system. The information system has many different software programs that allow the company’s payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to work efficiently with one another. The software programs are set up conveniently to deal with each.
