Review the FAA’s regulations (FARs) regarding duty day limits for FAR Part 121, Part 135, and Part 91 flight operations. Next, analyze and evaluate the differences in the regulations between Parts by creatively applying the concepts of human performance and limitations that you learned in this module. Finally, develop and support your opinion as to whether the differences in the regulations are justified in regard to maintaining aviation safety. As always, support your work with a reliable source(s).

Flight Attendants were worried about the arbitrary process MCA’s management used to resolve issues, expressly the margining of the seniority list and working conditions. This was a concern of job security.
The notable cost-saver was utilizing flight crews to clean airline cabins after each flight, which was inspired by the similar team player culture found at Southwest. Special cleaning crews were not needed, and JetBlue was able to speed airplane turnaround time to 35 minutes. This number was substantially below the industry average of one hour, and the quicker turnaround was implemented largely to sell more flights daily (Gajilan, 2003). Neeleman utilized his knowledge of electronic ticketing and Internet-based reservations to further reduce staff engaging in customer transactions.
Superior’s current policy of seven vacation days and five sick days a year for the employees is not ideal for emergencies and for an unscheduled occurrence that may require the employee to take a day off. The policy, as written right now, does not give Joan Jackson enough time to properly staff the areas when an employee calls the morning of shift and states he/ she cannot make it to work today. Right now, employees are using sick days to whatever his/ her need is that day, which is more than likely not in regards to the employee being sick. When an employee calls off the morning of work, without any prior knowledge, it will affect the entire company and will make it hard to cover that shift. Also, if more than one employee of that same

There were members I was not able to take care of on a range or a select training site. For that reason, sick call times were established to aid Airmen that required minor medical treatment that would allow them to stay on site and continue to train. Sick call times established were at the FOB from 0700—800 and 1800-1900. On the 4th and 5th, prior to the start of operations in the FOB, a morning sick call time was established for 0700-0800. In Guernsey at the cantonment sick call times were established and ran from 1900-2000 for individuals who required care after leaving the FOB area for the day.
How many hours can you spend moderating the server?: 12-14 Hours, maybe more after school is over.
Part 121 is the most stringent when it comes to pilot flight hours and rest time. Pilots are limited to 1,000 hours per calendar year, 100 hours per calendar month, and 30 hours per seven consecutive days. Pilot required rest intervals are nine hours of rest for flights less than eight hours, 10 hours of rest for flights more than eight hours but less than nine hours, and 11 hours of rest for flights more than 9 hours. Part 135 is less stringent than Part 121 when it comes to pilot flight hours and rest time. Pilots are limited to 1,200 hours per calendar year, 120 hours per calendar month, and 34 hours per seven
Everyone would like to work for a company that’s fair, pays competitively and looks out for their employees. Magic Carpet Airlines is not a company who are practicing those three aspects. They are trying to pay their flight attendants minimal, but still requiring long hours. The flight attendants and the League of Flight Attendants are fighting back and saying they work hard and are worth more.
The article “Here’s what United will do differently after the infamous dragging incident”, written by Kristine Phillips and Avi Selk (2017), describes the aftermath of the incident where a United Airline passenger was forcibly removed from an airplane to open a seat for an off-duty crew member. This event was a disaster for United and fueled public anger toward United, even “international outrage” (Phillips & Selk, 2017). This issue has caused United Airlines to change their policies by requiring off-duty crew members to “check in at least an hour before the flight leaves” (Phillips and Selk, 2017) and once the airplane has been boarded, the passengers cannot be removed, unless it is for safety reasons.
You will be expected to arrive at your designated hour and leave no earlier than that time approved by your supervisor. Staff are expected to work a full eight hours, with a required half-hour lunch break. All exceptions require prior permission from your supervisor.
I saw an opening for a front desk attendant at the Sunrise Pointe Golf Course, I have a few questions about the position. One of my questions entails the extent of this position, will it be until the end of the golf season or extend further? This leads to my second question. Since I will be starting school shortly how flexible would the hours be according to my class schedule? If you could answer these questions I would greatly appreciate it.

American Airlines recently issued a personal and public apology to a family after an attendant caused them some trouble. The family had boarded a plane in Charlotte, North Carolina, on a flight that provides short flight between cities. An airplane attendant asked the family to move to the back of the plane, but this was simply not possible. The family had a large service dog that was already having trouble fitting under a seat; moving to the back of the plane was not possible. Nevertheless, the attendant was persistent.
The report is designed to understand the working practices of the two government bodies in the field of aviation i.e. US Federal Aviation Administration and General Civil Aviation Authority. The two authorities have a sole responsibility for the control and regulation of civil aviation in their respective countries. The report will discuss the operations specification similarity as well as contrast between the two bodies along with a brief understanding of their functions and procedure. The study will analyze the difference and reasons to those, along with that some recommendation will be suggested to improve those regulations.
