Our options are to either change the time of the event (Lots of travel for the Lt Col) or change the date of the event. Sunday August 23 would be a possible alternative from 8 to noon or 1 to 5. Where are you getting the tables and chairs from and how many do you need? Where are the nametags and who is putting the new cadets’ names on them? Otherwise possibly use NDSU tote bags from buying books? I have several of these laying around. When new cadets receive their polos, allow them the opportunity to change into them. The only way this would work is if they brought along the proper uniform items required to wear the AFROTC polo. What Lawn games are you planning to have and who’s running them? What if it rains? Can they be played inside? Is the gym available? Lawn games were provided by cadets for last year’s NSOP. An email will be sent out asking for volunteers to bring assorted lawn games, most of which should be able to be played indoors pending on the weather. Closer to the event we will need to check the weather to determine whether we need to reserve the gym as a backup. Why are you planning to have separate GMC and POC lunch (I’m very much against this idea)? My suggestion would be scrap the dining center idea. It would not work out well to have the whole wing there. If we did the event at the newly suggested time of 1 to 5 on Sunday 23 August, we would not need to provide lunch.
