After reading this essay, the section that made the most impact on me was section seven. In section seven, Sanders reveals the feelings of a heartfelt boy who is under the guilt of his alcoholic father. He claims he, the boy, is the reason his father would drink. He would become possessed by the demons that his son brought him because he was not “perfect”. The reason this section is so important to me is because of how young and heartbroken he was to deal with the consequences of his father. His choice of words, the way he describes how he felt towards his father, is so utterly influential to become someone your children look up to.
