In the beginning of the speech, Donald trump talks negative about the U.S Trade Policies. Donald Trump mentions that it would wipe out American manufacturing jobs. Throughout the speech, he tells the audience that Clinton supports free trade agreements. Trump argues that nothing is to change under Clinton presidency. He is arguing that the U.S is suffering from this trade. He wants to raise certain tariffs on China and Mexico up to 35%.
Trump is able to maintain television and social media presence due to his power of ethos. For this speech, he brings up the U.S Trade Policies to the national attention. His supporters believe in Donald trump because he has confident nature. By seeing the audience, I can tell how that they are convinced
“We’ve had enough Bushes,” his mother, Barbara Bush, observed prophetically before her son announced his candidacy last summer.
Anderson judge’s president Trumps comments like he was wrong. He played several video clips and then after he stated reason why he thought Donald trump was wrong. Hannity on the other hand said the he thinks what happen was wrong but he did not seem like he was disagreeing with Trump so much he just basically blamed the press. He said that what Trump said was good enough for him but never good enough for the media. Andersons argument was based off of logos because he was not doing anything but stating straight facts, but I believe Hannitys argument was based off of pathos because of how he felt he basically expected everybody to feel the same way. I find Andersons side more persuasive even though he was not trying to be persuasive, I feel
Donald trump is a wedge in the coggs of progress. His inauguration proves that much. He masks divisiveness with a thin film of lies like a blanket draped over a bear. He lies openly and his mindless followers eat it all up like moths to a flame. Yet his style is clear and understandable and his message is clear, as well.
With Donald Trump's victory in the Republican Primary all but assured, our source buried deep in the Trump Presidential campaign informs us that Mr. Trump will audition 27 potential running mates, one per week, on a 10 minute segment of Fox New's O'Reilly Factor each Friday. During the segment Mr. Trump will ask the VP candidate various questions about important domestic and foreign issues. For one hour following each show, elite O'Reilly Premium Members can vote "yes" or "no" on the candidate. On the Friday before the Republican National Convention the top three net "yes" vote getter's will appear on the O'Reilly Factor for an hour long questioning by Mr. Trump, Fox Personalities Bill O'Reilly, Tucker Carlson, Greg Gutfeld and Jesse Watters.
Health care is an endless debate in America which has become even more prevalent since Trump’s inauguration. In this political cartoon, the intended audience is the American people. The people and their own well being are what is being affected while Trump carelessly experiments with health care plans that best suit him and not the people. To many, Uncle Sam is a direct representation of the American people and their wants or needs. Therefore, Uncle Sam’s sorrowful demeanor while being debriefed by “Dr.” Trump indicates that the American people are not receiving the proper treatment they deserve. The purpose of this piece is to express that while Trump may be able to dress the part of a leader, or in this instance a doctor, he really does not
Conservative dignitaries, friends and Distinguished speakers of this year’s Conservative political action conference… I want to first say thank you for inviting me to speak… It is not only an honor but will be the highlight of my life to not only address some of our party’s rank and file but, to also place emphasis on our core principles and just what it is that makes us conservatives.
With all the research and reviews on Trade Agreements, it has been interesting to read that the U.S. President, Donald Trump continues to baffle the world including the Republican Party, over how he plans to honor his campaign elected political agenda, which vowed to scrap away years of American Trade Policies, with hopes of reestablishing domestic manufacturing jobs. Subsequently, Allegations streamed from the president’s cabinet that provided insights on his the plans not to go forth with renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), yet in March, 2017, the president changes directions to revamp the so called “job-killing disaster” policy for a more favorable US deal instead – this on-again, off-again, flip-flop behavior appears uneventful, to say the least.
The election is over and now more than ever unity as a nation is important. Donald Trump is the 45th president of the United States. The statement leaves a sour taste on our tongue. We stated that we don’t agree with Trump’s policy and behavior; the paper will not go back on it’s word but we recognize that it is the duty of every citizen of this great nation to give the president elect a chance to govern. Then, the people must use the powers of a democratic system to make the government have the constituents interests in mind.
Logical convincing is defined as something that is backed up with factual information, and from my reading, this speech is not backed up with factual information, but instead with opinions. One example of this is exemplified through the speech, when Donald Trump stated, “We currently have the smallest Army since 1940. The Navy is among the smallest it has been since 1915. And the Air Force is the smallest it has been since 1947”. This information is not supported by a credible source, nor is it factual because he doesn’t provide any evidence to support that. This is one of the biggest things that makes many speeches not logically
Donald Trump, a once controversial political candidate, gave his 2017 Inaugural address on January 20th, 2017 when he was inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States. Through appeals such as syntax and diction, religion and patriotism, and logic, Donald Trump was able to generate a unifying speech toward his audience. Amidst the growing violence and repercussions of the 2016 election, Donald Trump, in his 2017 Inaugural address, sends the message that he will put America and its citizens first to unite the country and change America for the better.
“Make America Great Again!” This is the campaign slogan for the republican candidate Donald Trump, who is running for present in the 2016 presidential election. His slogan is simple yet complex, it’s easy to dream about but hard to do. The United States of America is starting to become an extremely corrupt place. We now live in a time where police officers are viewed as our enemies instead of our friends, where if you give someone in your local supermarket a friendly “hello” they look at you as if you are mentally unstable. How is this problem ever going to be solved? The answer is we need a new leader, His name is Donald J Trump.
Trump calls upon his audiences throughout the entire speech. Trumps began by first targeting his primary audience, which is the citizens and residents of the United States, then targets the secondary audience, which is the people of other countries and the rest of the world. To successfully connect to his primary audience as well as the secondary audiences. Donald Trump's uses his credibility to support and establish his claims, uses statements to appeal to his audience and emotionally connect with them, and uses his logic to persuade his argument to the people of America.
In a time of transition for the nation, Trump tries to leave the audience with a lasting impression. By saying, “So to all Americans in every city near and far, small and large, from mountain to mountain, from ocean to ocean, hear these words; you will never be ignored again” there is an undeniable sense of hope. Trump’s final words are the most important because it concludes the message of hope and unity (Trump Inauguration Speech, 2017).
Another very effective rhetorical strategy used in this speech is allusion. The first allusion Trump makes is about The Marshall Plan. He mentions the pillars of The Marshall Plan: Peace, sovereignty, security and prosperity. He also states that “The Marshall Plan was built on the noble idea that the whole world is safer when nations are strong, independent, and free.” The reason he alludes to The Marshall Plan is
Trump recently returned to the United States from a 12-day trip across Asia and gave a speech, which did not contain the major statement he previously said it would, stating that his ‘America First’ foreign policy has restored a global respect for the United States that did not exist under past presidents. Trump also stated that he “united the world against North Korea” and also argued for more mutually beneficial trade with countries like China, as he believes current trade patterns are harmful to America’s interests. Critics argue that Trump is too distracted by flattery from foreign leaders to focus on the issues, and Trump himself made more statements
