According to, Eichenfield, Athreya, Doughty, Cebul, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis is more common in young girls. The patients that are diagnosed with this disease are more likely to have “roentgenographic” evidence of bony erosion and worse prognosis. Doctors have discovered a way to diagnose Rheumatoid Arthritis. This method that doctors found, involves looking for certain characteristics that may be present in the patient. The symptoms doctors will look for are; morning stiffness, joint pain, joint swelling, nodules, positive sheep cell agglunation, poor mucin precipitate from the synovial fluid (Gan, Patel, 1986). According to the study, any person who presents all of these signs or symptoms will definitely contract Rheumatoid Arthritis (Ropes, Bennett, Cobb, Jacob, Jesse, 1957). Another way to diagnosis Rheumatoid Arthritis, is the detection of the Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) in children with juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. ELISA will bind to its specific antibody which will help detect the small amounts of peptides, proteins and hormones.
