I read the science fiction and action/adventure book Michael Vey The Final Spark by Richard Paul Evans. This book is a 336 page novel. According to a review on Amazon, “Anyone who enjoys entertainment reading should read the complete Michael Vey series.” This book is supposed to be for 12-17 year olds but I read it and I’m 11, I started the series when I was 10, so if you like action adventure and super powers, and you can handle a little bit of blood, you should read this (just be able to read okay?). In my story there is 1 main character (protagonist). His name is Michael Vey, of course you probably knew because that is the name of the series. Michael is a 15 year old kid who is on a mission. What is his mission you may ask? To
The book I am reading is a mystery genre kreepy klowns of Kalamazoo by Johnathan Rand. There are 196 pages in the book. On Amazon someone said”This book is great”. It’s a good book if u like mystery and I think the age range is like 7-12.
I read the Adventure book Michigan Chillers Mayhem on Mackinac Island by Johnathan Rand. This book has 170 pages. According to Amazon a customer said “i love this book SO MUCH! it is the best!” I think that the intended audience for this book is 1st-6th graders because a first grader that is smart can read this book, and a 7th grader would not like this book because it is too easy for them.
Literary Essay In the book, Michael Vey The Prisoner Of Cell 25 Michael Vey. Written by Richard Paul Evans. I believe that Michael Vey was a very faithful kid, kind but most of all he was one of the most bravest character in the book .
I give the book Michael Vey 1 The Prisoner of Cell 25 5 out of 5 stars because it is action filled, the main character goes through many different emotions, and because it has many unexpected turns.
John and Owen are considered best friends in the Novel, “A Prayer for Owen Meany,” but may actually be less than that after all. Johnny Wheelwright and Owen Meany are the main character in “A Prayer for Owen Meany” by John Irving. The novel is about Owen, a midget, and his journeys with Johnny. They take of many challenges such as the mistreatment of Owen, finding Johnny’s father, and demonstrating heroics to save multiple people. While only looking at the surface of the plot, the two seem to work well together, however, if you look a little deeper, you may notice how each of the boys use each other in their own ways. I believe that Owen uses John for his physical features, and John uses Owen for his physical features, but his ability to
In the novel “A Prayer For Owen Meany,” John Irving creates the character of Owen as a foil to John, the protagonist. Owen Meany embodies the qualities of a true leader while John grows more like his father: doubtful and lost.
Why do people undertake missions? Farah Ahmedi and Annie Johnson had to undertake a mission to survive and Ernesto Galarza had to learn a new language and a new culture. Although they don’t have the same mission they have the same purpose to complete their mission. Lets get into this great heroes completing their mission with no mistakes.
has some family ties and was written with a bit more passion than the average fifth grade book.
“A Prayer for Owen Meany” by John Irving is a novel in which religion plays a significant role. One of the main themes in this novel is faith in God and faith in oneself, and the conflict between belief and doubt. It is this need for faith that brings the two main characters together. John and Owen seem to need each other and there is an odd connection between the two that is shown throughout the novel. This connection seems to “curse” them to eternal friendship and forces each other to depend on one another. There are many reasons as to why John and Owen fit together, but few stand out as primary reasons. This is a lack of guidance, religion and faith.
Every character in a book has a overall mission that they under take. Some of the missions can be dangerous others can be easily solved with common sense but the mission is what makes the main character of the book. I have chosen 3 characters to tell how they undertook their mission and what drove them to undertake the mission, no matter how hard or easy it was.
Many pre-teens would enjoy this book because of the thrilling adventures Nic goes on with General Radulf for his sister. Also, the readers would enjoy the bravery and courage Nic shows while fighting many people. This is highly recommended for independent reading, due to some of the fighting scenes that go on throughout the book. This book would receive a 4.7 out of 5 for its imagery and strong
. Captivated by the trials of others’ encounters, the reader finds hope in his own life. For some, books are an escape. He is able to disappear into a new world, with different lives, and extreme or sometimes even similar situations. However, his real world problems are still ever-present. In Sherman Alexie’s article, “Why the Best Kids Books Are Written in Blood,” he claims that many
Purpose/Mission – The mission is to actively represent the community to focus support for every child’s success.
Whether it is a fight for his life, winning a quidditch match, or just staying out of trouble, these novels are anything but boring. This I believe, is one of the biggest reasons why these books have been such a success, the author knows how to keep the story going at all times in order to maintain the readers attention.
