O Brother Where Art Thou? The movie is set in Mississippi in the late 1930's, with The Great Depression looming in the background. A condensed plot, are that the three main characters Ulysses McGill, Pete Hogwallop and Delmar O'Donnell are convicts that break away from a chain gang. They break away because they're on a quest to find the treasure that Everett hid. As the three men go along in their literal chains, they run into a ton of problems and interesting characters like The KKK, a campaigning governor, a robber, and a blind prophet. From the research I have done, the popular opinion is that this film is loosely based on the book, "The Odyssey". The overall tone and mood is somewhat goofy, but it has some heavy topics behind it like The
Also, in the beginning after they got back to the present time Dana started to observe him when Kevin was alone as she shook her head, “ [she] tried to put the comparison out of [her] mind. He sounded as though he was he is looking for something, and after five years didn't know where to find it” (Butler 190). It appears that what Kevin was “looking for” was his “home” that he could not remember he had in the past since he “didn't know where to find it”. This is showing Kevin is losing memory of his present as he is more attached to the past and turning out he was trying to recognize his home and get familiar with it as he was trying to “find it” but Ostensibly, he was still

Ah, The Sandlot. A movie full of fifth and sixth grade boys playing baseball in the Summer. If you think it sounds boring, you're wrong. This is an excellent movie. It starts with a boy, named Scotty (Tom Guiry) who needs friends. He needed friends so bad that his mom was even concerned about him being cooped up in the house for a quarter of the summer. One day, he wanders to a baseball field and his want to have friends and be a part of something comes true. He even got a nickname, "Smalls". The boys did everything together, even got into and out of trouble together. But the number one important thing all nine of the boys did, was meet at the baseball field every single day.
Wesley shook and smacked Kevin trying to wake him up thinking he was asleep. When he didn't wake up he called for help. The coach and bus driver ran to the back of the bus to see what was wrong. The team was in shock as they saw their star player being taken away in the black latex body bag of death. With tensions high and emotion everywhere, the team started thinking about what could have happened. One team mate thought about earlier in the day during school when Kevin and his “friend” got into a fight about a girl they both wanted to take to the Senior Prom. The fight was intense and both people said something that shouldn't have been said. They both jumped on one another out of rage and started swinging and shouting. A teacher came to break up the fight and when the dust settled both boys were bleeding and bruised. After the recollection a boy shouted “what if his “friend” poisoned his or caused trauma to his heart or brain?” Everyone started chatting amongst themselves, gossiping and planning to get the “friend”. After the chatting came to a minimum another player stated that he was with Kevin the entire day and he didn't eat or drink much after the fight and he didn't seem like himself after that. Everyone was shocked and looked frightened because Kevin was a diabetic and he need to maintain a steady blood sugar level. “If

"All of us know the Jungkook guy was looking for Jiminie." Taehyung spoke, picking at his nails. "I mean, after he showed up, some obvious stuff has been happening with their gang." Shame that Jimin might be in a rival gang, the youngest thought. "By obvious I mean, Kihyun got caught looking for someone, and you were jumped by someone and they were demanding where that person was." He pointed out. It made the other two men nod along with his statement. Even if they were kind to him, it never pushed back their suspicion. It was all starting to add up and the four noticed.

The film I chose is the most recent film we watched—Fruitvale. A particular scene that I chose is one that I believe was the most significant. It started off when Oscar Grant III was on the train with his girlfriend and some friends. They were innocently dancing to music and just enjoying the New Year. Suddenly, a white male that he knew when he was incarcerated recognized him and they started to get into a verbal altercation—when the white male threw the first punch. Soon, the cops were called and they immediately called on Oscar and his friends to get off of the train (not knowing who started it). However, not once did they even consider the thought of the fight being started by someone other than a black male. Ironically, it was

He immediately called to them to come over. They were hesitant to but they did slowly make their way to him. As they introduced themselves he told them about how he wanted to leave.
