Right to Bear Arms
In 2013 states with gun restrictions had more shootings than states without any laws. The right for U.S. citizens to bear arms is completely beneficial, and without their legality it would cause more problems than it would solve. Owning a gun gives the owner a feeling of protection, and if your attacker thinks you may be concealing a weapon they would definitely be less likely to rob you or do anything in attempt to harm you. Banning guns entirely would have huge implications, which would not be good for anyone. Without guns our safety would be at risk, and without that feeling of protection it will be a weight that you constantly carry and will withhold your from true identity and potential. Your right to bear arms should

Guns are a part of American history, they helped free our country, and are used to protect us today. Guns have built up the identity of our nation as a whole, we used them in many wars and to separate ourselves from Britain in order to build our own country on our terms. The use of guns is protected in the Second Amendment, which says, “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” This amendment alone should be the end of this discussion, it was written by our founding members that we have guns for our own protection and use, (Should Gun Control Laws Be Enacted).
Many people will nowadays say that the Second Amendment was written and created with the intention of allowing military and police to use weapons, and not citizens. This is simply wrong, you are the people of this country, and the people were intended to be allowed to carry. Guns allow you to feel safe in your homes and protect yourself. Any objections to this law should be ignored, they don't have the evidence to support the fact that the prohibiting of guns would solve our problems, (Should Gun Control Laws Be

Lott, Jr. PhD and author of More Guns, Less Crime: Understanding Crime and Gun Control Laws, wrote that “States with the largest increase in gun ownership also have the largest drops in violent crimes.” Criminals already are not concerned with what the law says, they will find a weapon whether it is legal or not. Taking our right to personally carry would only increase murder rates because people couldn't protect themselves and criminals would know that regular people would not have a gun. 57% of people believe that owning a gun is a protection from the possibility of being victimized. John Stossel, a journalist, says “ Criminals don't obey the law… without the fear of retaliation from victims who might be packing heat, criminals in possession of these weapons now have a much easier job…” (Should Gun Control Laws Be
The banning of firearms in America is an illegal act, and degrades the values this country was founded on. They not only play a vital role in many people's lives, but are useful tools, fun to use, and can protect people from harm. Our founding fathers wanted us to have them to protect ourselves from the government, and would be disgusted at our government's current abuse, and overall disregard of the constitution of the United States. A lot of people argue that guns kill people; this is untrue. Guns in the hands of a negligent person have potential to kill people, just as anything else.
In the United States the right to own a gun is enshrined by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The text of the Second Amendment reads: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” (Adams, 2004). The founding fathers borrowed this idea from Niccolo Machiavelli, the Italian thinker. He wrote about the weapons necessary for freedom to defend themselves, to hunt, and to protect the state against foreign invasion. For two hundred years, this tradition has become an integral part of American culture that spawned many cultural phenomena that have become the hallmark of the United States. For example, duels in the desert areas of the
A well-regulated militia necessary of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. It isn't much, but the power in these words is what keeps this country free. It's what keeps the people in this country safe. Everyone has their own opinion on the subject, but the facts show that the right to bear arms benefits this country more than it hurts.
The purpose of the Second Amendment is to give people the right to keep and bear arms which is why this amendment is so important. The Second Amendment states “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” . This is saying that the people have the right to bear arms. People try to point out that it talks about militia and try to say, ”well that’s the National Guard”, but it’s not. Every citizen that is able to yield a firearm is considered to be in the reserve militia (LaCourse). Therefore taking the right to bear arms away from citizens is depriving them of the ability to do their duty as a citizen. A large amount of anti-gun rights
Kids always try to get their hands on a Nerf or airsoft gun. But imagine if people HAD to bear arms in the US. People get shot all of the time, and that is one of the major reasons why this law should be passed. Also, guns are popular, with people going paintballing and kids playing with Nerf guns. But the only problem would be that if weapons are distributed into the wrong hands, heck could break loose. This law should be passed because is for the better.
Have you ever had a life threatening situation? I will prove having the right to Bear Arms can be a lifesaver. I use guns in my life when I hunt or if something were to happen I could protect my family. I use guns hunting like if we need more food because our money is tight i can use guns to go hunt and whatever game I get my family and I will eat it. Someone attacks my family i can also use a gun to shoot or scare the attackers off. Someone who attacks me when I am walking to my car on a late night i can also use them to protect myself. Altho people may use them to harm others there always more good than bad.
The right to keep and bear arms may be the single most controversial and contentious right listed in the constitution and this might be because the right was listed in 1791 and understanding what the founders and framers actually meant. Some people think that the Second Amendment is outdated and if the founders even had any idea of what kind of weaponry we would have today they would have included that the right to keep and bear arms should only be used in hunting and sportsman ship.
Bang, the sound punches through the streets, the trees, the fields. The sound is unmistakable, so sharp and so loud, like a firecracker up close. This sound is a sound like no other and can not be taken back, it is the sound of a gun shot. From the beginning, our country has given the rights to its citizens to keep and bear arms. To protect their land and them selves from strangers who want to hurt them. But in todays society guns are becoming a “problem”. Almost every day some one has been shot and murdered. People want Washington to solve the “gun problem” in America but that is a very hard up hill battle. For the right to bear arms is in the constitution and no one can take that away.
The Second Amendment written in The Constitution has been under great scrutiny lately. Extremists from both sides argue their points, however, how accurate are those points? For example, one can argue that it is a right that was given in The Constitution therefore, it cannot be taken away. However, was living back then a much different world than we live in now? Do we need guns to protect us in today’s society? The other extremist could argue that yes, it was a much different world and therefor, the right that was written into The Constitution is no longer relevant to today’s society. To fully grasp what the Second Amendment entails, one needs to know what it says. The Second Amendment reads: “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed” (Second Amendment). This has recently been interpreted according to the Second Amendment article on the Cornell Law website to grant the right of gun ownership to individuals for purposes that include self-defense. I believe that there is a solution to the problem at hand with The Right to Bear Arms, and it does not include banning arms, rather it only sets limits on what one can purchase for their arms at the store.
The right to bear arms across all states by citizens trained in the handling of such weapons would produce a superior nation, where protection and security would become a mere hands’ length away. Guns provide necessary protection against those who wish to harm others. For instance, imagine a shooting, where citizens have the power to protect both themselves and others from the assaulter with several precise shots, thus saving countless lives that would otherwise be lost. In the same situation, this time with defenseless citizens, the shooter freely kills the innocent, knowing that they have no means to oppose him, such as happened in San Bernardino and in France. Taking away the right to bear arms infringes the natural rights given to Americans
One major issue in the United States today is the freedom to bear arms. There are split beliefs on this issue. Some people are against people being permitted to have a firearm because guns kill people. Other people are for being permitted to have a firearm because guns do not kill people on their own. It is the person behind the gun pulling the trigger that kills a person. In this paper, I will discuss both sides of this huge, nationwide issue.
We have the right to bear arms this is our American tradition and should stay as it’s written in the constitution. A gun is powerless until someone gets behind it and uses it in the wrong manner. The people who are using it “legally” use it for safety only and not to harm someone unless they’re threatening their family. The media plays a big part in how guns are displayed and only show the negative parts to guns. There should be better education on guns but the point shouldn’t be to scare people away from them. Better education and more control on the illegal guns and you wouldn’t see as many shootings as there are today. American citizens have the right to keep their guns and its an American
Humans naturally assume the right to be able to protect and defend their own person. This is a country built upon protecting the well-being of its people, and, more so protecting its people’s freedom, specifically the freedom to keep and bear arms. We are free to defend ourselves against others acting outside their lawful boundaries. Crime is obviously a problem in society, and we have laws in place to discourage behaviors that people agree on as wrong or that are considered to be bad for a peaceful society, but laws cannot change people. There will always be people out there who break those laws and pose threats to other citizens. Unfortunately, these incidents happen all too often and can end
Guns are something that America has had since the beginning. America also have a stereotype about us being gunaholics. Like it or not guns are a part of us, yet they can really have a negative impact. People wrongly use guns all the time in crimes such as murder and robbery. Not all people who own guns are crazy or going to use them harmfully so that’s were Gun Control is wrong in taking everyone’s guns. Guns, can be very dangerous, but can also be used for protection and are a right to those who can use them properly or with the right training.
To conclude, having guns may be a right in the American constitution but that does not by any means say that it is correct, numerous studies show that gun crime and ownership in the US is higher than any other country in the world and that by having easy access to firearms can result in serious crimes being committed. Personally, I believe that guns should not be completely be banned but should be closely tracked and that numerous thorough background checks should be completed before a person is allowed to purchase a firearm and regular checks should be completed each
