Once I saw two kids bullying someone. I jumped in and told them to back off of the kid. The boy ran away and the bullies found no point in chasing them. Connect what what was used to hook the reader with the theme statement you are about to make. The love from the people around me gave me the strength to stand up to the bullies. The theme of the fictional story Rikki-tikki-tavi by Rudyard Kipling is the love for others can give you strength. Rikki Tikki is a curious character in this story. For example it says that the house is alot to find out and that he will stay and find out (para 14). This means that he was being very curious by exploring while others would run away. This shows that the love from them gave him the strength to stay and …show more content…
This proves he is a very curious animal because the author used direct characterization to tell us. There love made him stay and be curious. All this shows he is a very curious character. Nagaina, another character in the story is vicious and protective. For instance Nagaina planned to kill everybody in the bungalow to protect her babies (para 49 and 51). This proves that she was vicious and protective, she was vicious by trying to kill the family and protective by doing it for her babies.Nagaina’s character trait is different from Rikkki and Nagaina is vicious and protective and when Nag died she went all out vicious which gave her the strength, and protected her babies which gave her love and strength. This also shows she said to Darzees wife that it is a bad place to be lame in (para 76). This proves she was vicious by trying to kill Darzees wife This proves she was vicious by trying to kill Darzees wife. It is different from Rikkis charcter trait because he is curious and she wants to kill and this proves the thesis by the love from others gives her strength. This all showes that she is vicious and
As there are various similarities, there are differences as well. One being that in the book Rikki-tikki-tavi and Nag duel when they initially meet with the help of Nagaina(Book). This scene helps build up the rivalry of the snakes and Rikki-tikki. The scene provides a simpler way to see why Nag and Nagaina dislike the mongoose, along with other lines. “When the house is emptied of people, he (Rikki-tikki) will have to go away and the garden will be ours again.” (Kipling 150) Nag and Nagaina want power. Before Rikki-tikki was found and taken to live in the bungalow, the snakes had the animals bowing down to them. In the movie there was no duel and the understanding of the rivalry is gone. Rikki-tikki and the snakes hold a lousy relation, the snakes try to kill his family in order to get rid of him. Without the image of the creatures hostility the snakes
I read the short story “The Bully, the Bullied, and the Bystander” written by Barbara Coloroso. I never pictured how bad bullying was until I read this book. What I liked about this book was how the author found a way to deal with people being bullied, the bullies and the bystanders. Also how she described every type of bullying and how to prevent them. It's a very inspirational book.
Although Nagaina was mean doesn’t mean Rikki needed to bite the tops of the eggs off. He was also very ignorant talking to Darzee and very
Then, Rikki Tikki killed Nag by himself, and Nagaina gets mad and tries to go and kill Teddy and his parents. The next day Darzee sings a song about how Rikki killed Nag. Later,Rikki smashes Nagaina’s eggs but, one. Darzee tells him that Nagaina is going to kill the family. He runs to find her as she was getting ready to strike at Teddy. He threatens Nagaina to fight for her last egg. Nagaina fights Rikki Tikki and they rumble into a hole. Everything's still and Darzee thinks that Rikki Tikki is dead. She sings his “death” song. At the end of the song Rikki comes out of the hole happy and triumphant.
One main part of the story is when Rikki had shown up to the families land and they decided to take care of him instead of burying him. Another main part of the story is when Rikki had looked around the house to take familiarity into the new house when he overheard Nag and Nagaina talking about how they were going to kill the family. Rikki knew that he couldn’t let this happen. So he hid out of Nag’s sight until Nag woke up and Rikki finally killed the evil Nag. Also, when Nagania had been in the house of the family, Rikki came to her and told her that he crushed her eggs and challenged her to fight Rikki. Rikki had made this decision to protect his family. To conclude Rikki and the family lived safely in the bungalow for the rest of their lives. ”Being brave means to know something is scary, difficult, and dangerous, and doing it anyway, because the possibility of winning the fight is worth the chance of losing it.” Emilie
“This is the story of the great war that Rikki-tikki-tavi fought single-handed, through the bathrooms of the big bungalow in Segowlee cantonment” (Rudyard Kipling). A character that is the same is Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi is a smart little mongoose. Rikki-Tikki is the protagonist. He is the protector of the garden, and the house. Rikki-Tikki was found in the dirt by the father and the son, they fed him and then made friends with him. He kills three snakes. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, killed a Karait and two Black Cobras, Nag, and Nagina. He kills the Karait when they were in the garden. He kills a Black Cobras in the snake's hole. He kiles another Black Cobra when he was on his nightly walk around the house. when they were in the bathroom. The mother said,” He’s saved our lives’ and Teddy's life, he’s saved all of our lives”
After Rikki-Tikki killed the Nag in the bathroom, in the morning when he went into the garden he saw Darzee and asked him for his help, but he just kept singing triumph. Instead of Darzee, Darzee's wife decided to help Rikki-Tikki by diverting Nagaina's attention while Rikki-Tikki kills her eggs. When there were three eggs to kill, Rikki-Tikki heard Darzee's wife screaming that Nagaina went into the house. Rikki-Tikki raced toward the house. When he went into the house he saw that Nagaina was holding the family hostage, so he could see them getting killed. On page 25 author mentioned, "...stay still. I am not ready yet. Wait a little.....If you move I strike, and if you don't move, I strike. Oh, foolish people, who killed my Nag!" The method of characterization that is used is defined by characters' actions or words. This proves that Nagaina is evil because she is waiting for Rikki-Tikki to see his human family getting killed. She is enjoying their white faces. She is making Teddy's family scared before she kills them, so she could get the best of her
Kipling’s Rikki Tikki Tavi has all the necessary parts of a battle story. It is full of battles, war tactics, good, evil, motive, song, and drama.
This implies that Nagaina will hurt them no matter what because they killed Nag. This character trait is similar to Rikki Tikki’s because they both are just trying to help their family even if they are dead. Secondly, my husband lies on the rubbish heap this morning, but before night the boy in the house will lie very still.
The antagonist was being selfish when she made Nag go an try to kill Rikki-tikki, she was thinking of herself and herself only. In this short story it states that Nagaina left Nag when it was her plan she told Nag to kill Rikki-tikki and his family. For determined to harm others the story clearly states that Nagaina. “ You warned Rikki-tikki, I would have to kill him.” I thought that was a skilled quote of her showing the reader that Nagaina was determined to kill Rikki-tikki.
Rikki wants to fight back so he ca protect his family. Rikki's feelings change a lot during the story. First He is okay with Nag, but at the end he is disappointed at nag for trying to kill him and his family. The author use this point of view so that you can understand the
This proves the previous statement and shows how tough she can
4. In fourth grade, a girl my class often bullied me for what seemed to have no logical reason. After getting to know her better and asking her why she often bullied everyone, I realized the struggles she was experiencing and understood why she answered that way out of jealousy.

I am sure every sixth-grade class had at least one kid who was the focal point for bullies. The class was a place for bullies to be in “their own spot”. In the fifth grade, I fought against my inability to make friends, so I did things to garner attention. I thought that if I had enough of the class’s attention or the teacher, I would be safe.
