Not only does the holly plant have an association with the Pagan religion, it is also associated with Christianity and it is said to be a representation of revitalization. Christmas is a very well-known Christian holiday and many people don’t know it’s Pagan roots. As I stated beforehand we are first introduced to “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight” when they are having a feast for a Christmas celebration. During the time this story was written, pagan traditions started to intertwine with the

Helen loves to use items of special meaning in her photos. We used a combination of gifts from friends and family, mainly personalised gifts to accentuate some of our images with baby Thomas. These also help to keep children entertained! Equally, with the package that Helen purchased, we had loads of time for outfit changes and also a few Christmas themed photographs too!

The Christmas spirit already invades us, stores are beginning to be decorated, the "ugly" Xmas sweaters are reaching the boutiques so if you love this time and the word "grinch" is not really in your vocabulary, Katy Perry spreads Holiday Cheer with a fun collection.
I love the warm contrast between the wood, the dark, rich fabric and this adorable, little one. I loved the touch of the green headband from Edna Magdalene too.
The challenges to match sockets to fully light the tree, searching through numerous tubs to find the decoration needed for the dinner table, debating on where to place the ancient Twas the Night Before Christmas novel, but nothing beats the satisfying feeling when seeing the house dressed in its holiday best. A mixture of spices, pine, and sweets devour the air along with the spirit of St. Nicolas. With trees in place waiting for Santa to stuff them, with Jingle the Elf watching over the little ones, with the house creating a captivating aroma, it is time to begin holiday season.
The artwork of Christo and Jeanne-Claude that interests me the most is their piece titled Wrapped Trees. I enjoy how whimsical and mysterious the trees appear in the wrapped fabric. In the picture I have attached, one can see how beautiful the outline of each tree is as the sunlight passes through the fabric. The trees are continuing life on the inside of the material as the spectators view them from the outside. Upon viewing the image I began to ponder the fabric that was wrapped around the trees. The fabric is thin, almost sheer like allowing the outline of most of the branches to be seen. In other pieces similar to this one, Christo and Jeanne-Claude have solid material around trees, which I do not like as much. I think the sheer fabric allows one to see the loveliness of the trees them self, rather than masking the natural beauty of the tree. I chose this work because I love trees and I found the wrapping effect pleasurable to view.
Fabrics like lace and plush linens are commonly found in shabby chic decor. You can incorporate lace in many ways. Use it in the details of the window treatments. You can add on some lace trimming to the edges of a few decorative pillows. Plush linens are very important as well. Consider finding a few faux fur throw blankets to keep on the couches for comfort. A faux fur rug is always a nice addition for a living room during the cooler months. Light linen blankets are great options for the warmer months.

Today, I have another holiday collection for you to peruse. It's an 8 piece collection by Morgan Taylor called Wrapped in Glamour and it will be available at Sally's Beauty and Ulta in October. I think the collection is perfect for the holidays, and it reminds me a little of O.P.I.s Breakfast at Tiffany's holiday collection in that the colors are classy and a bit on the sophisticated side. Yup, I think this one is a winner. There's also a mini set that you can find at Sally's.
