On February 11 , 2016 at about 1557 hours, I was on duty with the Sumner County Sheriff's Office, Sumner County, Kansas. SUCO 911 advised an armed robbery had just occurred in Ark City, Cowley County, Kansas. Dispatch advised the vehicle was a silver four door car with a possible female driver and a male passenger wearing all black. Deputy Coon #1134 and I began to drive east on US 160 highway out of Wellington. Another deputy checked out on I-35 and said he would be watching all north bound traffic. Deputy Coon and I continued east until we reached Oliver. We turned south onto Oliver from US 160 highway because it is one of the only paved county roads that goes north and south from US 166 highway to US 160 highway. We continued to travel south …show more content…
I began to look in the driver door, I noticed a small amount of change and the pocket knife I observed earlier. I continued to search the door and located a located a small silver tin under some napkins, I opened it up and located a large clear rock that tested positive for methamphetamine. I then searched under the front seat, I saw a single black and gray glove between the driver and passenger. The center console was searched and nothing was located but a torch lighter. I then went to the back seat and took out the black backpack I had observed the crown royal bag.
I took the bag to the rear of the Buick and placed it on the bumper, inside the back I located two black flashlights, a Ruger handgun case, butane, a glass container, a large fixed blade knife, a sunglass case containing another small case with prescription pills inside, a USAA Master Card belonging to Malisha A Gyamfi, a black check book containing multiple money orders belonging to different people, a few misc. items and a black wallet containing all of Jason Farners identifications I.E. ID car and military ID. When I was done photographing all of the items they were taken off the truck so it could be
I got my dog almost one year ago. We got him on november second 2014. Me and my sister had begged our parents to get us a dog but they kept saying no. THe day that we ended up getting him my parents just said that we were going camping. They said we were going camping in a cabin a few miles from Bend Oregon.
Two cigarette butts, a glove, a plastic bag, a condom and a lighter were found. Police lifted footprints, and possible blood samples from the bathroom, hallway and floor at the front door. The comforter washed at four in the morning was also taken.
This was an event on Thursday at the Common Ground, which started at 9pm and ended at 11pm. I went to this for another class called ECAP which is Exploring Conflict and Peace. This was something very important for me to go because I always hated when this school had a whole week of take back the night. I went to one last year, but it did not impact me or hit me in the way it did this time. The reason is that I was full of anger and I did not listen to anything they said even when some people re-enacted the stories it made me disgusted and made me want to criticize them because they did not know what that person felt. One can reenact it but I felt offended rather than sad, and I just felt that no one should ever reenact stories. Now, I finally
On Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 0139 hours, I, Deputy Waldschmidt was driving through the Kansas Star Casino parking lot when I observed a unoccupied 2004 Gold Chevy Impala’s (KS 400JZT/VIN # 2G1WF52E649197193) front bumper up against an unoccupied 2012 white Jeep Liberty (KS 3159/VIN # 1C4PJMAK7CW155651) driver’s side doors. It appeared the Impala rolled into the Jeep. I contacted Officer Boone with the Mulvane Police Department who later arrived on scene. She worked the private property accident while I stood-by to assist. The owners of both vehicles were located and Boone collected their personal information.
After a long high-speed chase, authorities finally stopped him and his Volkswagen was searched thoroughly. Police found handcuffs, an ice pick, crowbar, pantyhose with eye-holes cut out along with other questionable items. The police also saw that the front seat on the passenger side of his car was missing, which ultimately caused them to detain him.
Furthermore, I found 2 addition small straws containing a white powder residue inside of a cigarette box in a compartment below the steering wheel. I then found a glass pipe inside of another bag also containing hair cutting equipment.
At approximately 18:09 hours I arrived in the 1400 block East US-160 Highway. I located a silver Ford Fiesta parked on the south side of the road facing to the east. A person later identified to me as Rachel Skov informed me her children were occupants of the car and were sitting in her vehicle parked in the north side of the road. At the vehicle I made contact with a white female who was identified to me as Rylee Lea Skov. Rylee stated she was driving
Led like a convict condemned to a lifetime in prison and flanked by two incredibly capable orderlies and bound with her arms behind her back, the girl radiated raw spite and hatred. She didn’t belong here, not at all. What happened to her was not her fault. She did not ask to by tormented, tortured, abducted, brainwashed, raped, possessed, amongst a nasty amount of other detestable subjugations. And yet, here the girl was, suffering further because so many others had made her suffer. The girl was a survivor, a fighter, an apex predator. She had made it this far, although by the skin of her teeth at certain times. For her entire existence, the girl had been plagued with a darkness she knew all-too-well, a darkness that led her to the conclusion that there was a high probability of her succumbing to it and becoming a villain, grotesquely transforming into the type of evil beings she had fought since her early teens. Ending up either in prison, condemned to death, or simply dead would come to no surprise to her. But being committed to a psychiatric hospital for the most notorious and fucked-up of superhumans? Unfathomable.
Before I moved to Troy, I requested a pair of tires every two years. Now its every year due to a rocky road. Of course, I’m ashamed about complaining because a hard working mother with 10 kids should be enough to worry about.
Most people are ecstatic when they find out that they are old enough to receive their driver’s license. I on the other hand, wasn’t as excited as the others were. I recognized that I will be forced have to learn how to drive one day, but at the same time I was too fearful to learn how to be on the road. When I heard from my parents that I was going to learn how to drive this year I was really nervous, because I didn’t know what to expect. From what I heard from other classmates, driving can be tricky at times but said that they tend to get the hang of it once they start to practice more. My mind was relieved by their words at first but it soon went to disarray again when I saw someone else drive first hand. It seemed like there was a lot of
On September 18th I embarked on what I can easily say was one of my favourite road trip experiences.
empty lanes and she whispered 'let's run'. You responded by turning the music down and floor the pedal down like nobody's business. She screams her heart out and in that moment, you became one with the road and your car. Driving around with no directions and hunting corners; the pure joy of driving only some could understand. haven't felt this in a while. welcome
Goff Cody Goff Mr. Wilson English 1104 08 September 2016 The Ride of a Lifetime Driving always intrigued me when I was young. I can still remember smiling from ear to ear when I heard the sound of my dad’s truck roaring as it started up and watching how he shifted smoothly through the gears. Every time we hopped in the truck I would beg him to let me drive, and every time he would smile and say I wasn’t big enough yet. I never believed I wasn’t allowed to drive because I wasn’t big enough. My dad’s old Chevrolet was his prized possession. He would spend hours washing it, shining the tires, and working on it. I didn’t think I would ever see the day that he would consider me to be big enough to drive it. The first time he let me drive was a warm sunny day in August; the day after my thirteenth birthday. I was so excited as I ran around to the driver’s side door, but as soon as I sat down in the seat I could feel my hands start to shake and my began to get weak. Despite being nervous and excited, I reached right for the key and turned it, but nothing happened. I tried again, and still nothing. Puzzled, I looked over at my dad. He raised one eyebrow and looked down at the pedals. Of course, I forgot about the clutch! I had seem him press down on it and turn the key hundreds of times. I did exactly as I remembered him doing and the Chevy came to life. I was practically bouncing in my seat. I let off the clutch completely and stomped the gas. The truck jumped forward, jerked, stopped, jumped again, and then shut off. I tried this three more
The roads were icy. I stared out of the car window as my mother drove me to the DMV. I was blinded by the glistening, white snow that formed a blanket over the quickly passing horizon. Once we arrived, someone came over right away to administer my test. I was asked a few questions about my car and how it worked. I was able to produce the answers with ease. The driving portion was brief. I was behind the wheel for a maximum of ten minutes. I passed the test. In that moment, I was overcome with a feeling of relief. I thought I was invincible; freedom was finally mine. (1)
Lately, a significant amount of people have told me how great of a driver I am, especially for my age. While driving on a cool morning in May, traffic was light on the turnpike. Although I had been driving for two hours, I was alert, yet relaxed. It was the perfect day for driving; the sun was out, but it wasn’t glaring into my eyes. The air was beautiful; when I took a breath, it tasted fresh and clean. My mother was with me on this drive. She evidently was enjoying herself as she watched the scenery pass on her side of the turnkey. As I looked at the road, I asked “Enjoying it Mom?” Her voice was calm and relaxed “Yes Robert, I am enjoying this very much so.” With the silence of this perfect day, I could hear the steady purr of the engine. I noticed up ahead that there was a big truck spouting voluminous amounts of smoke into the air. Behind the big truck was a sleek, blue convertible, that appeared to be fine with driving behind the slow truck. I noted that due to the fact I was going a smidgen over the speed limit, I was going to overtake both vehicles in a matter of minutes. Seeing as the roads were in such a good condition, I decided to try and overtake both vehicles. I was in complete control of my vehicle when all of a sudden the blue convertible veered into my lane. As it was veering, it hit my car approximately on my right front fender, causing my car to be knocked into the shoulder that was next to the turnpike median strip. From my driving lessons, I knew that
