I would first like to sincerely apologize for my extremely follow up with you. After the PACE event I started a new job with Kaplan's Test Prep center here in Orlando which consisted of a 3 week training process with a schedule of 9:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday. I just become so busy with that, a full course of school (2 nights class Tuesdays and Wednesdays 6:00pm-8:50pm), and as you know, LSAT studying. I am not going to lie, these couple weeks have difficult to say the less. There was a lot of sleepless nights.
I'm so excited for you! It's your birthday! Yay! I wanted to surprise you a box of presents to put a big smile on your face and to show my appreciation for you and all you do. You're a terrific friend and a constant source of encouragement-not only to me-but to everyone you know! You bring so much joy to others, and you know how to make people smile and laugh. When you throw a party, you seek to make sure the needs of everyone are met and you'll plan little details to make to make sure everyone's having a good time. From creating your own made up game on New Year's Eve, to making Papa Murphy's pizza and some healthy snacks to go along with it, you put the cherry on top of the cake called hospitality. I've seen you grow so
Being in a crowded area, and someone giving a speech and all we can think is what is the point of this speech? Or who is this speech for? Many Kenyon graduates, of the year 2005, can relate when they were listening to David Foster Wallace in their commencement speech. Many people can agree that the last thing these graduates want to do is to be in this really long ceremony before they can go on and start their lives with whatever career they decided to study. Wallace does not only make a really good speech to capture his audience attention, but he does it in a really unique professional way. When it comes to speech pathos, logos, and ethos is very important and each one of those things need to be in the speech in order
The best humorous interpretation speech was “The Witches”. This speech had numerous qualities that were better than any other speech. My rankings for these speeches were as follows: first “The Witches,” two “Scary Godmother,” three “Charlie the Caterpillar,” and four “Controlling Interest.” While “Controlling Interest” was a good speech, I choose ranked it last
Reviewing past peer analysis, one of the issues that came up was my use of a monotone voice. Despite attempting to correct this problem, I was not successful. With my special occasion speech, this was the most important time to address the problem. With my monotone voice, I was unable to truly express any kind of emotion, especially ones appropriate to the situation. As a result, it took away from my overall speech and took away from the occasion.

Our guest speaker talked about many topics that are directly related to the course. As previously mentioned, she talked about how people have different ideas about what is humor. This stems from people having different humor styles. A caustic humor style can be harsh and sarcastic, while a cerebral style can be dry and satirical. On the other end of the spectrum, someone with a crazy humor style thinks silly, ridiculous, and shocking things are hilarious, while people with a caring humor style enjoy funny things that are wholesome, harmless, and positive. Mrs. Cline also suggested that it is best to practice a style of humor that caters to a combination of all four humor styles. This way, it is easier to practice humor with different audiences. Mrs. Cline also advised the class to always be prepared to tackle any technical difficulties that may arise before a presentation. However, she also said when the technological situation doesn’t seem to cooperating, use the situation as a chance to get started with some funny improvisational comments the way she did at the beginning of the class. Another tip Mrs. Cline offered was to interact with the audience while being in the moment of performing comedy or giving a speech. This helps the speaker connect with the audience. Lastly, for those who are interested in pursuing a career involving humor or comedy, Mrs. Cline suggested to just take a chance and try it
The ceremony began with the grand entrance of the host, Stephen Colbert prancing the stage while opening with a monologue riddled with humorous jabs, and earnest political references to Donald Trump. Per usual conviction, Colbert is known to be eccentric and uncomfortably humorous in the light of media, which led to the grandeur of the night.
“Good. I’m sending you an email. Look it over and email me any questions. Congratulations again, William. I’m proud of you.”
Overall the speaker was amazing during her speech she had a testimonial speech that we didn’t know anything about, and how this project was special to her. The speaker had nice personal appearance, posture, and body movement. She also had some visual aids about the types of food that was given out to the people at the shelter.
Distinguished guests, those of dubious distinction and those of no distinction, family, relatives, in-laws and outlaws, young and old, friends, friends of friends, freeloaders and hangers-on – let me extend a warm welcome to Meradith and Naren’s wedding reception celebration.
Good afternoon ladies and gents, I am here to give you guys your commencement speech. When I heard that I could do it, I immediately said yes, then I had to go home and do all this research about what a commencement was and how to actually make one. When I did do the research everything popped up in spanish and then I realized my father had changed the settings. But here I am giving it all I got, but besides that I am here today to talk about the future. A subject no one is willing to raise their hand for or even let out a small peep. Usually when the subject about the future is brought up everyone starts crying and starts panicking, well this is for the class of 2016, some of us don’t know where we are going, some of us do but that’s okay,
Wayne’s sister has to be picked up from the airport this afternoon. 2. She’s worried that the students will not like her. She’s worried that she_________________________________________________ 3.
When you were a boy I shared a game with you every morning. I would KNOCK KNOCK on you door I would come up right next to the bed and you would jump up into my arms. “Good morning Papa!!!!” You would say then I would tell you how much I love you.
Thank you for the well thought out and timely feedback. It means a lot, coming from people that have a busy schedule. To answer the initial questions you had, I took the initiative to document and record one example of the time saving that the alternative prep technique could achieve. I'll attach a video in this email (let me know if you can open it). Also, my first thoughts were to prepare the meat by slicing it with a knife before dicing. I tried this whole process with a whole ham recently while video taping and from start to finish it was roughly three and a half minutes. Additionally, grilling the ham took the same amount of time as the deli-slice style prep technique. However, as an benefit, there is nothing to cut
