A lawsuit has been filed over the death of Christopher Lopez who was a diagnosed mentally ill inmate. On March 17, 2013 Lopez died while incarcerated in the San Carlos Correctional Facility. Lopez died on a concrete floor struggling to breathe while guards watched through the food slot to his cell. The reality of it which is why this is beyond frustrating and unacceptable in America is because Lopez 's was a schizophrenic. Lopez was given a psychotropic drug to deal with his schizophrenia. Lopez died due to a sodium deficiency which could have been prevented. So if it was not for the gross over the top negligence of the staff who are required to do their job, Christopher Lopez would still be alive today.

In the summer of 2014, 18-year-old Michael Brown was fatally shot by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson. After the shooting, there had been conflicting reports by police and eyewitnesses about what exactly happened. Officer Wilson insist Brown was confrontational throughout the encounter, while eyewitnesses say Brown has his hands up trying to surrender before he was shot and killed. Following the Grand jury’s decision not to indict officer Wilson over the shooting of Michael Brown and similar cases of officer-involved shootings and brutality such as the death of Eric Garden in Staten Island, New York, politicians, family advocates, civil rights activists, and law enforcement officials have called for police across the country to adopt the use of body-worm cameras. Although there are many who feel police body cameras present a challenge to privacy and safety issues for both cops and civilians, by recording police-citizen encounters, it increases transparency and accountability of officers and the video recorded by body cams protect any false accusations, police misconduct, officials can get clear evidence of what happened instead of relying on hearsay.

On October 1, Stephen Paddock, a Las Vegas hotel guest, was the perpetrator at Route 91 Harvest music festival and the incident is known as the 2017 Las Vegas shooting. During the festival, he opened fire at 22,000 people. Everyone tries to run far away but some people got shot so some individuals helped them during the incidents being good samaritans. In the end, around 500 people are in recovery and 58 people died by a guy with unknown motives to the public because he killed himself.

The death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia set off shockwaves throughout a polarized Washington D.C. Senate Republicans wasted little time stating that any nominee from President Obama would not even get a hearing. Claiming that the people of the United States should have a voice in this process. The sudden news of the unexpected loss of a suicide is like no other news in the world that a person can expect and even handle. As some of the other emotions listed above are present and all ready working on you as a person these two emotions are getting ready to raise their ugly heads and wreak havoc like no other emotion can or will do. Losing to somebody to suicide there is automatically the thought that starts this ball a rolling “If only I had been or only if I done “and when you think or say these words the guilt trip is off and running.

A couple years ago, a military man named James Foley was kidnapped by the Islamic State. The kidnappers contacted the family of James Foley asking for the release of muslim prisoners or an unattainable amount of money from the Foley family; more than 120 million dollars. James was treated very badly and, even tortured at times; even after large sums of money were given to the captors. Two months later, James Foley was dead by his captors’ hands. This event caused America’s deeper military involvement in Syria’s civil war. James Foley’s death was a shock to many and is still remembered to this day.

In a ditch, getting shot at with my squad, Squad leaders says "Stay down every one, wait for back up!" we all replied with "Roger" 5 mins go.
