The Walking Dead, Timothy Morton’s Hyperobjects and Lars Von Trier’s film Melancholia, all open with the end of the world as their starting points to begin their narrative, aiming to demonstrate how the end of contemporary time, as familiar to both the characters in the show, as well as Morton and Trier’s audiences (us), are forced to adapt, alter, and change the way in which we perceive the world, and act in order to survive in our new conditions. The following essay, utilizing the apocalyptic theme contained within all three works, will strive to illustrate how certain global events which profoundly revamp the world in which we live, as seen in all three abovementioned examples, work in shifting the motivations, ethical groundings, and moral underpinnings of the world’s inhabitants. More precisely, the following thesis will aim to answer what it means to act ethically in a world that has “ended”, or is always ending, and how the end of times powerfully permutes the innate instincts, incentives, and concerns of all mankind.

Note: I must make something clear before proceeding to the discussion of the Risk Walking Dead game. I am not a fan of the comic books or the tv series. I am not a fan of zombies in general. As with the pirate fad a few years ago, this game-after-game with a zombie theme will pass. While playing the game, on several occasions, I referred to the ‘walking dead’ as zombies. Each time I did, I was corrected by one of the fanatical fans of the show and the comics who repeatedly stated that there is a difference between ‘walking dead’ and zombies. Sorry guys, call them walking dead, re-animated whatevers or anything else that suits your fancy - these are zombies. Some grand old philosopher once said: “If it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck....”

It would be a good idea to start playing some zombie games Dead Rising, Left 4 Dead, and resident evil now in order o get a feel for what you will be up against whenthe zombies do arrive.
There are lots of young adult supernatural fiction that related to zombie. All kinds of movies talking about how to defend or kill zombies. It is boring to repeat the same topic for decades but still none of them have a happy ending or a perfect solution. That’s why I would say “Warm Bodies” is totally another highlight in all of the zombie fictions. It is a zombie fiction that have the good plot, good character settings, romance and it is one of a kind.
