The covers of his published books are bright and colorful and the drawings that are on the covers were intriguing. After reading A Brilliant Madness, I discovered that Drake’s poetry was as beautiful as his art. Drake writes about life and the relationships between people, society, and emotions, reflecting the issues he sees in everyday life. He tries to make sense of human emotions and the experiences that come with them. The poems have themes I could understand and relate to. Drake uses free verse and enjambment to express raw emotion and make an emotional connection between the poem and the reader. Drake’s style is free verse. His works are filled with enjambment. Both the style and this literary device work together express raw emotion and make emotional connections. His poetry seems like he is saying them to you in the moment, due to the lack of a rhyme scheme. The “in the moment” feeling makes the poem seem more intense and heartfelt. This personal touch to the poems makes it seem like Drake is saying his poetry directly at the reader, forming an emotional connection. The enjambment in some poems emphasize different phrases and words that evoke emotional responses, helping form emotional

Arguably the most popular poet in America, Billy Collins provides readers with two types of poetry that is nothing like typical poetry. One of his unique styles is writing as if the poem could be read like a novel. The other type brings humor and whimsy to his work, yet he hints at a seriousness that lies beneath the surface. Both styles of poetry are easy to read, but take a second look to realize what the Collins is intending the reader to understand. Billy Collins is an exceptionally talented poet whose writing at first can be taken to be a simple comedy but when read more carefully, it can be interpreted as a far more complex script. He uses imagery, tone, the echo, and symbolism to disclose that we will always find all the answers that we have in life within ourselves. Through the echo, the poet makes the poem to have more rhythm and movement. The echo is just the subconscious part of the voice’s
Firstly, the cover of the album itself showcases a painting of Drake in the form of a child who is looking back at his journey in life and his music career. This is also a reflection of his album which consists of recent hits including “I Have Nothing”, “Started From the Bottom”, “Pound Cake” and “Hold On”. The overall message within the album remains Drake’s struggle along with his successful transition from being a struggling artist to a successful one. Moreover, he also doesn’t shy away from taking aim at his contemporaries and those who have dismissed him in the past. He is also vocal about his success by comparing himself with NBA superstar Dwight Howard while also letting the world know about his relationship with Tatiana Ali. However, the unique aspect

Poetry is a reflection of the poet’s life experiences through the use of various poetic devices as well as imagery (Poetry, 2015). The audience is able to comprehend an understanding about the poet’s message and the influence of the idea. Poets generally write from personal experiences, which form a narrative or reflective piece relating to a place, person or thing (McCabe, S, 2010.) In today’s modern view, poetry has become more than just paragraphs that rhyme at the end of each sentence. If the reader has an open mind and the ability to read in between the lines, they discover more than they have bargained for. Some poems might have stories of suffering or abuse, while others contain happy times and great joy. Regardless of what the poems contains, all poems display an expression. That very moment when the writer begins his mental journey with that pen and paper is where all feelings are let out. As poetry is continues to be written, the reader begins to see patterns within each poem. On the other hand, poems have nothing at all in common with one another. A good example of this is in two poems by a famous writer by
Unlike other forms of literature, poetry can be so complex that everyone who reads it may see something different. Two poets who are world renowned for their ability to transform reader’s perceptions with the mere use of words, are TS Eliot and Walt Whitman. “The love song of J Alfred Prufrock” by TS Eliot, tells the story of a man who is in love and contemplating confessing his emotions, but his debilitating fear of rejection stops him from going through with it. This poem skews the reader’s expectations of a love song and takes a critical perspective of love while showing all the damaging emotions that come with it. “Song of myself”, by Walt Whitman provokes a different emotion, one of joy and self-discovery. This poem focuses more on the soul and how it relates to the body. “Song of myself” and “The love song of J Alfred Prufrock” both explore the common theme of how the different perceptions of the soul and body can affect the way the speaker views themselves, others, and the world around them.

He was a essential Scottish neoclassical architect, interior designer and furniture designer of his century. He incorporated design ideas from ancient Greece and Rome into his forms and decoration. His famous London houses include Kenwood House, Osterley Park and Syon House. Robert Adam developed the "Adam Style", and his theory of "movement" in architecture, based on his studies of antiquity, by contrasting room sizes and decorative schemes.
