Robots can be conceived of as physically embodied systems that are capable of enacting physical change to the world through effectors; the operation of the robots is either through the movement of the robot or manipulation of objects in the environment. It has been speculated that robotics will replace much of the labor force in years to come. The application of robotics, however, extends beyond this, with its use in healthcare generating a tremendous impact in improving service and efficiency.
