Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum From the amazing museums to the beautiful gardens, adrenaline filled amusement parks, the adventurous wildlife exhibits known as zoos; Ohio has everything you could ask for. My favorite attraction has to be the Rock and Roll Hall and Fame and Museum. There are so many unique features about this museum, I wouldn’t know where to begin. The tower on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame supports a dual-triangular-shaped glass “tent” that extends onto a 65,000-square foot plaza that makes up the main entrance. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame also opened a library and archives which holds the most comprehensive repository of materials related to the history of rock and roll.

The architecture from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is very unique. Although some might find it unique now, others used to find, as Romanelli said, “that the varying use of the trademark undermined the buildings …show more content…

The process in picking a city for this museum was long. Various cities were nominated to house the museum for example: Cincinnati, Ohio, New York City, New York, Cleveland, Ohio, etc. After a very long search for the museum’s home it was obvious that it should be Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland, Ohio was chosen because “Freed, who hosted a Cleveland radio show in the 1950s, introduced R&B to white audiences at a time when music was segregated on the airwaves as well as at live venues throughout the country. He called the music "rock n' roll" and hosted what is believed to be the first major rock concert, the Moondog Coronation Ball, in Cleveland in 1956” (Hellmann). You might be confused because R&B isn’t rock and roll, but “his efforts to popularize rock 'n' roll and to close the racial divide in the music industry boosted Cleveland's music scene, and his influence was one of the reasons that Cleveland was chosen as a home for the museum”
