The Rocky Mountains are full of things to do, from skiing to white water rafting, but my favorite thing to do is hiking. For some this can be boring, but for me at least hiking can be a great way to exercise and revel in the beauty of the mountains. While hiking you can expierence towering mountains and you can take a longer time to appreciate the beautiful scenery. If you are lucky enough to live in Colorado you have the mountains close at hand, so hiking should be a weekly occurrence. And there are plenty of different trails you can hike on. Each one is unique. For instance there are over fifty fourteeners in Colorado alone. Yellowstone National Park is located mostly in Wyoming but spreads into Idaho and Montana. Yellowstone national park has a Taiga biome. Taiga is the largest terrestrial biome in the world. It is primarily coniferous forest or boreal forest. The North American Taiga is at high elevations, in the mountainous western region. Within this park, there are various species of consumers, producers, prey, and predators. One very important species is the gray wolves. The gray wolves are one of the keystone species in Yellowstone National Park. A keystone species is a species that has a large effect on a community relative to the abundance of the species. This means that as the gray wolf population increases or decreases in this area, it will have some drastic effects on the entire community.

The Providence Canyon is located in the southwest of Georgia's Coastal Plains. It was nicknamed Georgia's " Little Grand Canyon" because of the beautiful sandstone formations found in that area. The people that have visited this canyon think that it is a beautiful place to go that you can even camp in it. The Providence Canyon was once a forest, but that all changed in the 1800 when farmers moved in the area and started growing crops. Spending time in nature is very important in order to know how and why we should protect it. The best way to enjoy nature is to have no interferences from the modern world, the government has places like these called wilderness areas, where there is no human interference allowed except for hikers, planes aren't even allowed to fly over. Wilderness areas are also great for providing healthy ecosystems for the animals that live there. This resolution would expand the wilderness areas inside existing national parks and create wilderness areas inside national parks that don't already have wilderness areas.
