Obstacles are not preferable. Our dreams would be achieved more quickly if the obstacles did not exist. However, the obstacles, or “brick walls” as Randy Pausch refers to them, show us how badly we want to fulfil that dream. If they did not exist, we would never know if our passions were true. As stated by Pausch, “Brick walls are there for a reason. They give us a chance to show how badly we want something” (79). I believe that if I heed to this advice, my success rate will drastically increase. In fact, it

Every man in the world is doing some work and earns money for their life. But few men got more money than the others by doing their work smartly. All the students are studying their lesson only some students got success. Among them only very few become a famous scientist, singer, writer, musicians, doctor, and Engineers etc. and mostly get success in all things they do. Only few people attain it. Why and how it occurs? Can’t we? Why did most of the people not get success like this? We all know that Napoleon is an emperor. Do you know basically he is not belonging to the kings’ family? In life we face many obstacles. Obstacles can vary depending on the person you are or where you are. I consider my hometown as an obstacle that keeps people from prospering and makes people settle for less. My hometown is known as the poorest city in this nation; a nation known for success. Living in the tip of Texas, next to the border gives you three living choices: one, getting by in Brownsville and staying at the same stage as most common people do, two, do poor choices that lead to early families or jail and three, leave town to become something greater. These three choices play a role with how we teenagers think about our future.
Obstacles, near disasters, difficulties, struggles, and everything that is the opposite of “easy”. No one has made it to the place of success without facing and overcoming difficult roads. No one wins without hardship, and everyone who wins must endure. Therefore, hardships can influence a person’s life by having the strength to overcome difficult situations.
Obstacles in general are crucial and inevitable in everyone’s lives, but the conflict I’ve chosen isn’t your average struggle. Of course I’ve endured the basic conflicts, such as arguing with my mother or disagreeing with my teacher; I’m a decently normal maturing teenager. All that being said, a recent dilemma I have been faced with happens to be finding a topic for the essay I am currently writing (this one).
