Roman &’ Greek Essay
This essay will prove that we have gotten many things from Greece and Rome. One of the things we have gotten from Greece and Rome was law and politics. Another thing that we have gotten from them is art. The last one that I have down, is art. We have many ideas that they’ve shared.
For Law and Politics, we have learned many things from the Romans and the Greeks. One of the things that we have gotten from the Greeks and Romans was the Democracy. Democracy basically means “people power”, equality within people. Also, they have personal freedom which is what we have today. We have the same government as the romans had.
Roman and Greek are is similar to today’s art. They made paintings of people and places, like we do
Patrick J. Buchanan wrote an article titled “Is This Our America Anymore?”, his position is anti-immigration and believes that America will not be ours anymore. Mr. Buchanan stated in his article “ The border will disappear, and America will be a geographical expression, not a country anymore”.(paragraph 14) Buchanan believes this because according to him “it will not be long before Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and Texas resemble California, which is on the brink of default¨.(Buchanan paragraph 12)
Greece is much accredited for their influence on Roman art. Greek influence spread throughout Sicily and Italy by the end of the 4th century. Greek artists were hired by Romans and ultimately the Romans adopted many of their techniques. Art for the Romans took on a completely new dimension than had for any other culture in the past. Art to them was for decoration. No longer was art a medium to express religion or love for one’s country.
Thesis: The Greek influence of outstanding culture, gods, and their beautiful art to the Romans’ they took this inspiration on to their own creation. Both ancient build devotion to their gods they would bring the most precious things to them temples, however, they would focus on making large empire to rule and to take control of their city-states.
The Roman Empire was one of the largest and most influential empires in all of history. By 476 AD, it had completely fallen apart, why? The Roman Empire began in 27 BC with the first emperor, Augustus, overseeing it. At the empires greatest extent, it held control of nearly all Europe including areas such as modern day France, Britain, Mesopotamia and North Africa. Its existence inspired a future of empires that would aspire to be just like the Roman Empire. The empire was the economic and religious center of Europe and helped the religion of Christianity grow massively. However, by the year 476 AD, Germanic tribes now controlled Rome. The once dominant empire had been losing its authority due to a number of internal and external pressures.
Romen people? Art Romans loved everything that Greeks did and admired them especially for their art. We can see that lots of their paintings and tiles looked like Greek art. there sculptures also wore Greek clothing and fashion. The Roman Republic, as any society, embodied the greatness of what it means to be a republic, but like many empires suffered from imperfection. The city experienced some of the greatest architecture, art, entertainment, trade, law, language, culture, and governments, however it suffered from many wars, poverty, and cruelty. It was a city of extremes. Even through hardships the Ancient city of Rome achieved sophistication and opportunities, but was built on the enslavement of the neighboring tribes.
The Roman republic was an ancient form of democracy based on the Plebian assembly and the Senate. The republic was controlled by a senate composed of over 300 senators. The senate was based in Rome. During each assembly, there was an elected president based on popular votes who was expected to moderate the assembly. In accordance with the principle of annuality, the position along with other positions in Ancient Rome could only be held for one term, which was a year, by the same individual. Everyone knows and loves ancient Rome for its military, architecture and culture, but not many people care about how it affects society today. For example, people may know that ______ was created during Ancient Rome, but they don’t know that it's the reason that ______________ exists today. Classical Greek culture had a powerful influence on the Roman Empire, which carried a version of it to many parts of the Mediterranean region and Europe. Greek culture influenced the development of Roman civilization because at first Rome absorbed ideas from Greek colonists in southern Italy, and they continued to borrow from Greek culture after they conquered Greece. The Romans thought of themselves as a united, simple minded people. They were powerful for many reasons including, their military force and their government system. The ideal Roman citizen was one who held the Roman values, defended themselves and defended the state. The Romans were able to be unified because they were the popular group of that time. They were the state that everyone wanted to have citizenship granted to.
Throughout history art has consistently reflected the cultural values and social structures of individual civilizations. Ancient art serves as a useful tool to help historians decipher some important aspects of ancient culture. From art we can determine the basic moral and philosophical beliefs of many ancient societies. The differences in arts purpose in Greece and Rome, for example, show us the fundamental differences in each culture's political and moral system. Both Greeks and Romans tried to realize some form of democracy. "It is to Greece that we ultimately trace the idea of democracy and all that accompanies it: citizenship, constitutions, equality before the law, government by law, reasoned debate, respect for the individual, and confidence in human intelligence." No one can deny the fact that United States is rapidly becoming a more culturally and ethnically diverse nation. If the information from The Census Bureau which projects that by the year 2100, the U.S. minority population will become the majority with non-Hispanic whites making up only 40% of the U.S. population is anything to go by, it is clear beyond any reasonable doubt that we need to prepare the coming generations to comfortably embrace this change (Great Schools Staff, 2015). The subject of social diversity can therefore no longer be ignored since as a matter of fact, its impacts are already here with us. Public schools are becoming more diverse, and both the teachers and the students are feeling the impact. Teachers should therefore be actively involved in preparing their students to be tolerant to this change and teaching them how to interact in a diverse environment.

He was intended to be an accurate representation of the subject. Ugliness and beautifulness were emphasized. The rest of my family, architecture, painting,sculpture, building, and mosaic (Mow-zac) art were all inspired by my great ancestors the Greek family and the Etruscans family. Let’s not forget that us arts were created with passion.
