They generally had a moral purpose and promoted ideals of love and brotherhood. Wuthering Heights is more of a Victorian Gothic novel; it contains passion, violence, and supernatural elements (Mitchell 119). The world of Wuthering Heights seems to be a world without morals. The big talk with all teens these days, is romeo and juliet (not really). They are all wondering the same exact question: Whose fault is it that romeo and juliet went through their horrible tragedy together. Is it the families?... Romeo?… The friar?… Well, you guessed it in the title. It is all juliet's fault that all of this ever went down. The main idea of the essay today will be how juliet messed up everything. Yes, there were many other people that contributed to their deaths, like the nurse, but the main problem of all of this, is Juliet. I will talk about her main mess ups and how she could have fixed these problems.

I think you should let Romeo and Juliet be together for the following reasons. One, if Romeo and Juliet can love each other despite being from two families that hate each other then who is to say the two families can't get along just enough to let them be together. Two, if Romeo and Juliet were still here and did get married they could have brought there two families closer on a mutual agreement for the couple. Three, Romeo and Juliet are dead, they both killed themselves over each other because you didn't let them be together.

The Death Scene in the text version has more tension. It perfectly states the events that occur between Romeo and Juliet that leads them to their death. On the other hand, the Luhrmann version also describes well the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet but has a lot of differences due to its modern time era.

Romeo is the lover in the story and hates to fight and always try's to stop people from fighting. It is well known that there are two different versions of the play Romeo and Juliet in motion picture. They are both mind-blowingly amazing, with basically the same plot and storyline, but they are different in so many ways. The 1968 version is harder to understand because of the lack of necessary props and costumes, yet it is the classic version, so it is usually more favorable of the two. The 1996 version should be shown to high schoolers, as it is viewed as the easier version to understand because of its more modern setting, props, costumes, and the way the characters act with one another.

As a child, I used to be very open and told my mom and friends everything of what was going on in my mind. Since my father’s death, as years went by, I started to close up more. Juliet has a hard time explaining her emotions to her parents because she fears criticism from them and feels as if they won’t understand. Parents do critique their children and often, they don’t always understand.

How different can a play and two movies be when they all tell the same story? The play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, the movie “Romeo and Juliet” (1968), and the film “William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet” (1996) vary greatly from one to the other; however, they all express the tragic tale of Romeo and Juliet. These two movies should be described as accurate representations of the original play, despite their disparities from each other. The costuming used in these two films clearly exemplifies the time periods of the story and how character’s styles showcased their lives.

Romeo and Juliet; a classic tragedy of two lovers who cannot be together due to circumstances beyond their control. The story has been done by various movies, many of which change certain aspects in an attempt to breathe new life into this age old tale. In 1996, Director Baz Luhrman took the story and placed it in a modern setting where the two rival families are mafia families. This sounds like an interesting take on the story and it certainly was, but the movie turned out as a complete mess.

Furthermore, the play also incoperates tragedy since Romeo's companion Mercutio is slain after dueling with Juliet's cousin Tybalt. In act 3 scene 1 Mercutio and Benvolio are standing outside when Tybalt comes around picking a fight with Mercutio. Mercutio and Tybalt than duel and while Romeo tires to stop both of them Tybalt takes the opportunity and stabs Mercutio in the chest. This is tragedy as Romeo's companion and best friend dies at the hand of his loves cousin. Thus proving that the play Romeo and Juliet revolves more on tragedy than love.

In the novel Wuthering Heights, Emily Bronte uses setting to establish contrast, to intensify conflict, and to develop character. The people and events of Wuthering Heights share a dramatic conflict. Thus, Bronte focuses on the evil eye of Heathcliff's obsessive and perpetual love with Catherine, and his enduring revenge to those who forced him and Catherine apart. The play Romeo and Juliet is about the love between two people even though their love for each other is forbidden because of their families being enemies. In the passage spoken by Friar Laurence, he compares Romeo and Juliet’s love for each other by contrasting it to different ideas in the play using strong language and imagery. “Your part in her you could not keep from death,/But heaven keeps his part in eternal life.” (39) . In the play Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare uses Friar Laurence to narrate the ideas of life and death and happiness and sadness to contrast to Romeo and Juliet’s love for each other.

Wuthering Heights is the only novel written by the Victorian writer, Emily Bronte besides her poems. It is one of the most passionate and heartfelt novels. It is also, considered highly original and deeply tragic. This novel is about the relation between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, the orphan boy brought to Wuthering Heights, and his tyrannical revenge excited on everybody for the rage and humiliation he suffers throughout his life.
