To begin with to the statement made earlier about the claim that the Montague's and Capulet's were responsible for the death of their children. If both families didn’t have an ancient grudge bot4h of the children wouldn’t have died. The both families had an ongoing grudge that didn’t allow them to be married to one family to the other. In document A, “Two Households”, it states in the third line “From ancient grudge break to new mutiny.” Proving that both families had or have a grudge and that made the turn into a war. Making both households have a fight. Finally, if anyone had any contact with the opposing family they will be killed probably making Romeo and Juliet very scared to be together. Not only did they have an ancient feud but they
Have you ever blamed faith for things, without looking at the human actions? In this DBQ we will discuss about some of the human's actions ,in the “Romeo and Juliet” story by Shakespeare, that led to the poor death of Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet’s death was caused by human actions because of four people: Rosaline, the Friar Lawrence, the Caplet and the Montague. Romeo and Juliet’s death was caused by Rosaline. If Rosaline would have fell in love with Romeo and not have been so stubborn then Romeo wouldn't have been sad at the beginning (Act 1, scene 1-5).
Like in our world today we like to assign blame to someone's faults, that’s what is happening here. Who is to blame for the six deaths in Romeo and Juliet. The families, the Capulets and the Montagues because of their feud. Romeo and Juliet because of their stubborness, impatience and stupidity and then the Nurse. For not telling somebody before the problem got worse.
In “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet” there are people to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s untimely deaths. Anyone would have chosen these three characters to blame: They are Lady Capulet, Friar Lawrence, and both Romeo and Juliet. Lady Capulet is Juliet’s mother that did not stay with her from birth. Friar Lawrence is a priest, botanist, and has a fatherly look to Romeo. Romeo and Juliet are star-crossed lovers that make a huge mess during the play.
Blaming is a common thing done among human errors. As soon as something begins to go wrong, we want to start pointing fingers at someone other than ourselves. In the case of Romeo and Juliet, many things go terribly wrong and many people could be up to blame. I narrowed all the choices down to the top three people, that in my opinion, caused all of the problems. I blame Juliet, Friar Lawrence, and Romeo.
Considering the narrative voices of males and their enthusiastic responses to female characters reveal how males express and perceive their romantic feelings. Sir Paul Mccartney wrote a song titles “Michelle”. In this song, the narrator expresses his love for a female named Michelle and his inability to tell her that he loves her. Lines 44-53 are an excerpt from the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. In this excerpt, Romeo expresses his love for the protagonist of the play, Juliet. Upon consideration of these sources, it becomes clear that males first express their romantic feelings for females by focusing on their beauty. Throughout the song, the narrator repeats, “Sont les mots qui vont tres bien ensemble” (Doc.
The main person to blame is Romeo and Juliet. Because they knew they were not supposed to be seeing each other and if they got caught and people found out they would be dead. So, they just took their chances and actually ended up killing themselves because they loved each other and did not want to leave each other. You can tell they had missed each other because Romeo was saying “ How fares my Juliet” DBQ; Romeo, Document E. Also, Juliet was saying “ O comfortable Friar! Where is my lord?” DBQ; Juliet, Document E.
Laying there on the smooth, stone floor in a dark cellar are the two dearest lovers of this very honorable city. Their dark-red, congenial blood dripping from his mouth and her stomach created a stream, a stream flowing through the tiny fissures in the old stone making a path all the way to the eminent coffin where she had once lain. This incident well describes the piece of William Shakespeare’s most prominent tragedy where the two, star-crossed lovers take their lives for each other: Romeo and Juliet. In this case, Romeo and Juliet’s brains are the most to blame for their deaths because of the development of their brains, the effects of their love, and the thought-process of these lovers.
Quote JULIET O fortune, fortune! all men call thee fickle: If thou art fickle, what dost thou with him. That is renown'd for faith? Be fickle, fortune; For then, I hope, thou wilt not keep him long, But send him back. (3.5.9)
One of Shakespeare’s most known plays is the love story between Romeo and Juliet, which ends up as a tragedy. There are many different reasons and causes to why this tragedy occurred between the two young lovers, Romeo and Juliet, Friar Laurance, their parents and also the element of fate. Romeo and Juliet are two young lovers who seem to rush the love between each other by becoming married to after only a matter of hours of knowing each other. Friar Laurence who should have been smarter in his actions by marry the two which ending up causing this tragedy, also both Romeo and Juliets have a role that ended up causing their children a tragic
“A glooming peace this morning with it brings. The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head. Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things. Some shall be pardon’d and some punished, for never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo” (Act V Scene III of William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet). That is what the Prince decrees at the end of the play, he is speaking of the love Romeo and Juliet had for one another. The prince believes that the reason they killed themselves is because they loved each other so much that they killed themselves because of their family feud and that it was forbidden love. However, that was not the whole truth and someone knew the entire truth, but didn’t say a word, he knew that if he said anything it would jeopardize him and his life because the punishment for what Friar Laurence had done was unthinkable, maybe he’d become a prisoner, have him killed, or perhaps have him stripped of his priestly duties and banished from the city of Verona. So it is evident he would not tell the truth about what he had in fact done and no one would ever know since the only other people that knew of the crime Friar Laurence committed were Romeo and Juliet and they were both dead.
Although Juliet is often perceived as a helpless or love-sick child, if you read Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, you can tell that she is actually a sophisticated character. The play tells of a story about two families who are fighting a feud that has lasted for years. This feud results in the death of two lovers, Romeo and Juliet. Throughout the play, Juliet demonstrates how much thought she puts into her decisions and her future. When asked to marry Paris, she takes into consideration his looks. When she realizes that the man who she believes is her “true love” is a Montague, she is able to recognize that it is just a meaningless name, not a sign of character. And nearing the end, she is crafty, tricking her parents and Paris into believing
3. Fate is defeated; destiny is duped! Romeo and Juliet have somehow survived. Write a short narrative or descriptive essay exploring their lives 5 years hence.
In the play Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare conveys the theme that love is such a strong emotion that it can lead to death. After Romeo finds out that Juliet died, he immediately went to get poison to kill himself and says “The doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss/A date bargain to engrossing death” (5.3.114-115). In this quote Romeo explains that he must die to be with his love. This supports the theme because his love for Juliet is so strong that he kills himself to be with Juliet. The theme that love is such a strong emotion that it can lead to death is prominent through the story.
Romeo and Juliet is a play written around 1597 by William Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet is tragedy about two young, star-crossed lovers who are from rival families. They instantly fall in love at first sight before knowing which family they come from. In less than twenty-four hours, the lovers are married. Tybalt, Juliet's cousin, saw Romeo at the Capulet ball and he was furious and seek revenge. After Romeo and Juliet were married Tybalt approached Romeo, Romeo tried to make peace, but he gave in and fought Tybalt. Romeo killed him and was therefore, banished from Verona. Seeks Friar Lawrence's help, he moves to Mantua and Juliet’s parents were forcing her to marry Count Paris. She then seeks help from the Friar who gives her a potion which will make it seem as if she was dead. Romeo hears and rushes to Verona were he finds Juliet ‘allegedly’ dead. He then kills himself next to her and she wakes up to see him dead and she then kills herself. After the two are dead the Friar explains what has happened and the families are no longer rivals.
Since reading has been around, it has been used to educate. Romeo and Juliet has been around for what seems as long as literature itself, and is still used to teach to this day. Written in the 1590’s, the tragic story of Romeo and Juliet is about the untimely death of two children, who happen to be in despite their feuding families. Throughout reading, it becomes clear that the attitudes of the Montagues and Capulets, Friar Lawrence and the Nurse filling parental roles, and Juliet’s forced marriage caused the shocking deaths of the pair. If the parents of the two young lovers could have looked past their differences and let their children decide who to love, they could have spared themselves the heartbreak of losing their children.
