The story of Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy and this is because of the ending; however, it would have been the perfect love story if the characters weren't so rushed and immature. The first mistake we see Romeo make is fall in love with someone, he knows he can't be with; nonetheless, love takes the win in this situation. Moreover, Romeo and Juliet became an item after time passed but failed to tell anyone but the nurse and the friar about their love. This begs for the question, had more people known about the love they had for each other would this relationship ended with happiness rather than grief? It seemed logical to keep their love a secret but in their scenario, they had to tell multiple people that they trusted. If they had done that, they would have been able to stop the confusion that led to their suicides. As the story carries on, Romeo and Juliet get married less than 2 DAYS after meeting each other. There is no reason to marry someone that you meet after 2 days; that is the second hastiest decision made in the tragedy. The decision was hurried, hasty and unnecessary. Time passes and they are seeing each other in secret, etc. One day, the Montague and Capulet have a quarrel …show more content…

For example While most good relationships take years to build, Romeo and Juliet met two hours before they decided to get married, romeo and Juliet fell in “deep love“ for no other reason but looks and appearances. This is proven on many occasions threw out the story, for example at the feast when Romeo thinks Juliet are attractive, just for that one reason he approaches her and lands a kiss. “My only love sprung from my only hate!” Said juliet indicating that she already loves romeo after the first time they met (1.5.138). The love story that is the basis of almost every love story today is just two teenagers being stupid and making bad decisions. These two crazy love birds spend almost no time together; their total time on stage together is mere minutes. The rest of the time the teens are just fantasizing about being with one another. Though Romeo and Juliet did not just make bad decisions in the presence of one another, most of their dumb ideas came from being apart. This love was a short and sweet one , but it ended in the biggest shock of the time and it still shocks generations long after.
