The play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare shows how Romeo and Juliet meet. The play takes place in Verona, Italy. The Montagues and Capulets have ongoing feuds with each other. Romeo Montague meets Juliet Capulet at one of her family’s parties, instantly fall in love, and decide to secretly get married the the day after the party. Throughout the play, both Romeo and Juliet show character traits they have which leads to a tragic ending.

If you have ever fallen in love then you must know what Romeo and Juliet felt, right? Well according to the definition of true love your do not relate to Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet come from similar families that are mortal enemies, but despite that, they fall in love for each other. Romeo went from loving Rosaline to Juliet very quickly and Juliet was already going to marry Paris. True affection involves: your sense of self has grown through knowing this person, You’re addicted to the person, you celebrate this person’s triumphs, you really miss this person when you are apart. Romeo and Juliet may have thought they were in love, but falling in love with someone cannot happen in an instant.

The first reason that shows Romeo and Juliet are actually in love, is that Romeo is to risk his life to sneak into the Capulet orchard even though, he could get killed if caught. When Juliet realizes Romeo is in the orchard, she immediately fears for his life, but Romeo announces, “My life were better ended by their hate than death prorogued wanting of thy love.”(2.2.78) The quote is

Romeo and Juliet prove their love for one another. In act three Romeo says this to Juliet. “I must be gone and live,or stay and die...Let me be taken, let me put to death.”(3.5.11-17) In the quote, Romeo risks his life to see Juliet. This shows how much Romeo is willing to risk for Juliet. In the middle of act three Juliet says this to the Nurse. “Weeping and wailing over Tybalt’s corse. Will you go to them…Wash they his wounds with tears? Mine shall be spent, when theirs are dry, for Romeo’s banishment.”(3.2.128-131) The quote states Juliet’s loyalty between Romeo and the Capulets is challenged, and Juliet chose to stay loyal to Romeo. By choosing to stay loyal to Romeo she is risking her life. Romeo and Juliet love each other enough to risk their lives for one another.

Once upon a time, there were two different families that didn't like each other called the Capulets and the Montagues. A girl on the capulet side named Juliet and a boy named Romeo from the montague family met and they fell in love. Throughout the book of William Shakespeare, the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, there have been many occasions where Romeo and juliet have shown being in love. Some things that show Romeo and Juliet are in love, is they both are willing to die for eachother, they are in love at first sight, and they are very excited to get married right away. This is why Romeo and Juliet are in love.

The play Romeo and Juliet has been considered to be the most touching love story of all time, but when you look closer and past all the initial “fantasies”, you see the truth. Romeo and Juliet believed that they were in love because of the mere idea of it, however based on their actions and the short amount of time that the stages of their “love” progressed in, it soon became clear that what they were actually feeling was infatuation.

Early in the play, Romeo and Juliet meet and instantly fall in love. In the infamous balcony scene, they clearly express their love and decide to get married. Juliet says, “Three words, dear Romeo, and good night indeed. If that thy bend of love be honorable, Thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow, By one that I’ll procure to come to thee, Where and what time thou wilt perform the rite, And all my fortunes at thy foot I’ll lay And follow thee my lord throughout the world,” (2.2.149-155). Juliet has confirmed that she wants to marry Romeo the next day so long as he gives her a notice the next day. Romeo and Juliet are so in love that they are willing to rush into this marriage, not truly thinking of what is about to come next. They don’t stop to think about what this marriage will mean for the rivalry between the families and they don’t understand that maybe it isn’t a good idea. If Romeo and Juliet had considered the trouble that this marriage would cause, perhaps they would not have gotten married so quickly. Later, once Romeo has been banished to Mantua and Juliet is told she must marry another guy named Paris, she is distraught and runs to Friar Lawrence. Once there, Friar tells Juliet of a plan that involves her faking her death using a concoction that will make her appear dead. Romeo will then find her and they will be reunited and live their lives together away from their feuding

Romeo and Juliet are not in love they are just in lust because their main concern in the relationship is having intercourse. When they get married Juliet only thinks about when he is going to come and have intercourse with her. “I wish the sun would hurry up and set and night would come immediately. When the night comes and everyone goes to sleep, Romeo will leap into my arms, and no one will know. Beauty makes it possible for lovers to see how to make love in the dark” (III.ii.1-6). In general, if your main concern in a relationship is having intercourse, you are not in love. For example teenagers who date each other just to have intercourse, are likely to not love each other because they went into the relationship to have intercourse instead of looking for someone they actually love. Therefore since, Romeo and Juliet's main concern is having intercourse Romeo and Juliet are not in love.

The story of Romeo and Juliet is one of love and terrible tragedy. Many people have argued if it was actually love that they were experiencing, or if it was just a physical attraction. Friar Lawrence is shocked to know that Romeo is in love with someone after he was so passionate about another girl the day before. At first, he does not agree to marry them but does it anyway with a hidden agenda of fixing the feud. Friar Laurence proclaims, "Is Rosaline, whom thou didst love so dear, / So soon forsaken? Young men’s love then lies/ Not truly in their hearts, but in their eyes." (2.3.66-69). Friar Laurence soon sees how passionate they are and agree to help them reunite towards the end. The other half of this power couple, Juliet rebels against her family when she shares her strong disagreement about getting married to Paris. Her family threatens to disown her, but she feels her commitment and love for Romeo is something worth fighting for.

Romeo is asking how can he leave when his heart is there with Juliet. He is in love with her and now has his heart. He goes on to say he will go back and find what makes his heart happy, that being Juliet. Than Romeo climbs over the wall into his family’s enemy territory. Romeo has no one with him incase he was to encounter a Capulet. He would be severely outnumbered in a fight.

Romeo labels his feelings towards Juliet as “love”, although he has not gotten the opportunity to learn about her personality. This indicates that what he feels about her was entirely formed by her physical beauty rather than genuine feelings. Evidently, sexual desires seemed to be his ulterior motive for marrying her, instead of committing to love, care, and cherish her till death do them apart.

Did Romeo and Juliet Love Each Other? Romeo and Juliet is a classic love story portrayed to many as a story of “love at first sight.” Were Romeo and Juliet truly in love or simply were they infatuated with each other? Throughout the story of Romeo and Juliet, The reader can see that Romeo and Juliet did not in fact love each other and simply were overcome by the emotions of a teenage mind.

In the story of Romeo and Juliet many people debate that whether Romeo and Juliet are really in love. There are some facts that support both sides of this argument but there is more evidence to prove that they really aren't in love. In the story romeo and juliet both have been over dramatic and have made some really poor decisions. Juliet really is that connected to her family that much and wouldn't mind leaving them Romeo just loves juliet for her looks when ever he talks about her he just talks about her looks and not really her personality or anything else. From the beginning of the story juliet doesn't really seem close to her mother and her father the person that she is closes is the nurse who really is just like a nanny

However, their “love” leads them into new problems.Which resulted them into making rash decisions. They could’ve easily avoided these conflicts, by talking to their parents about their marriage, but that is not what they decided to do. Romeo and Juliet’s decisions are never well thought out at all, since all their decisions lead to suicide threats. In addition, both of them are very self-centered becuase, it never occured to them that if they died it could effect other peoples lives terribly. William Shakespeare is showing us, how their decisions will affect themselves in the future. He demonstrates that love should be taken slowly and peacefully. But in Romeo and Juliet’s case love is very fast and unpleasant. William Shakespeare states that, “ As if that name, shot from the deadly level of a gun, Did murder her, as that names cursed hand Murder'd her kinsman. O, tell me Friar, tell me, In what vile part of this anatomy Doth my name lodge? Tell me, that I may sack The hateful mansion” (A.3 s.3 l.102-108). Romeo is very upset in himself because he believes that Juliet is heartbroken, that he had just killed her cousin, Tybalt. Therefore, he threatened Friar Lawrence, suicide by drawing his dagger. This indicates how Shakespeare describes young love as misleading, because Romeo is very impulsive. He is not thinking this through with Friar Lawrence at all. Instead, he
